You know what I was meaning. I meant it was never the games focus. Its not suppose to take the whole expansion to ding max lvl

doing profs and sidequests i have been playing ~5 hours a day since early access and I am only halfway through ringing deeps and at level 78

main story timeline is irrelevant when you ignore content

Skryim’s entire main story was equally as long. WoW gets continuous updates.

I think for the main story opener, 6 hours is reasonable. This quest experience set up the entire rest of the expansion.

Also, that’s 6 more hours of added story to the many hours that precede it.

Just peaked your achievements and you haven’t even finished (probably even started) a single side questline in any of the new zones. Not a single one lol.

The main story plays out of the course of the entire expansion, which includes the raids. We are given more to the story almost every week.

I think the problem isnt necessarily that it took 6 hours to finish the campaign, but rather the campaign only gets you to 76. It should definitely be long enough get you to at least 78/79.

The timegating on this it is way too much for the 15$ a month, they’re wasting half a month of gametime or more (depending on what you’re after) with arbitrary timegates.

Since I found out you need to wait until 3rd before they release enough story to get earthen, and then 17th before M+ opens up. I’ve been considering calling this stent in WoW good after this month since value of it has been artificially lowered so much.

Only gonna get a week and a half of M+ with this shoddy release schedule. Then nothing to do for one of the weeks leading up to it since I can’t unlock and level Earthen.

you completed the MSQ for now.

I’m sure there’s plenty to come and sure it’s time-gated, but there is also plenty to do in the meantime.

if you’re playing WoW solely for MSQ then I think you’re playing the wrong game.

They always delay the start of the season so that people can take their time enjoying the new expansion without feeling like they’re going to be left behind by the tryhards.

You people always try to make everything a negative. It has to be exhausting to live that way.

The story felt like 600 hours to me. Tumblr fanfic at best, and in the way of the actual reason to play an MMORPG: the mechanics of a virtual world. Will never understand the “MMO story” crowd.

The original focus was very much on leveling. It took me a year to level-up my first character to 60.
