Every time I charm a critter and feed it to a Ravenous Slime.
It’s like “Hey Mr. Snail. Would you like to be my friend? Let’s go on an adventure!”
“Aw shucks, I forgot to tell you not to get close to that slime. Sorry I steered you into his mouth”
It should be the other way around. I should be feeding slimes to critters.
The cycle of life can be cruel.
Think of it this way: The Ravenous Slime isn’t really eating the critters. It’s just holding them in its pouch, giving them a slime-bath. At the end of a cycle one of the critters is all done with its bath and you get to keep it!
We can, uh, pretend the others are set free as slimy critters too. They’re out there…somewhere. 
I mean, I fed some of the slimes the same exact critters every day. They showed back up in the same exact spot each day.
Clearly they were just having a tea party.
Now that the pets are like 1-2k each, I’m not bothering doing them anymore though.
Feeding time at the zoo is what went through my head each day I did them.
I just pretend the critters are being merged and transformed into the pet you are receiving after the 5 days. It’s a stretch, but that glow bug, snail, slug, etc all turned into an otter somehow [that’s why they glow…right…right?].
