Bizzard doesn’t make the meta, the community does. If a spec or combination has a 1% at most advantage in a certain situation for any reason, that’s what the top .1% are going to run. That means all of the people watching the streams and reading their guides are going to do the same thing because “it’s what the best players do”.
When you’re doing a +17 and one mistake can cause you to fail a run, that 1% matters. When you’re doing a +7, it doesn’t. That’s the communities’ fault, not Blizzard.
Prime example being removing Rapture from disc going into S2. All it means is the top .1% are going to theorycraft in PTR what the next strongest healing spec will be and that will trickle down into the new FOTM.
As it stands right now Disc is getting smacked in the crotch with the nerf bat.
