I feel like even Timewalking dungeons are beyond me at this point

Literally no one says this in max level dungeons lol.

Wow really? I stand corrected then!

That’s quite the super power you have
knowing everything that’s ever been said in a max level dungeon in FFXIV ever.

No one really talks in dungeons. On my tw raid it was great the RL ask if you got unwanted gear please trade them and people actually did. I got 2x 2 handed weapons on my FDK but I. Dual whield so gave both away, someone randomly just traded me a chest piece. Same in my monk I gave away a shoulder. We also wipe a few times because people didn’t know mechanics. I don’t think you need to worry too much

yea OP, the game isn’t as you remember it. People have their PHDs in min/maxing toxic behaviour while they can’t be bothered to even watch a youtube video about the content they’re queuing up for and failing at. This is the modern game, by design, in a nutshell.

Dying only matters in M+ (barely) and prog bosses, dying anywhere else in the game just generates “xD” from people. They don’t actually care.

I know, I’m pretty amazing. Common sense goes a long way.

Rarely do I enter a TW dungeon and someone actually types something.

I see the occasional “Howdy” etc

Just hit “Find Group” and see how it goes.

Wow. You post a lot.

Have a wonderful day.

Sure do, thats what years and years of posting on a single character will do.

Follower dungeons aren’t an option with timewalking, sadly.

Honestly, I understand this (OPs) challenge. It sucks to be THAT person in a group called out for any reason even when it’s the wrong reason. For that, in order for me to play the game I love AND improve at it, you just have to take it with a grain of salt. If in a dungeon, just remember the dungeon will continue. If you get kicked, there’s plenty of other players that will play with you. Join a guild, make friends, maybe do what I do and tell people you suck so maybe they’ll help you. Ultimately, you can’t change the players, you can only change yourself.

I did the time walkings on my characters last week and didn’t see a single word typed at all

People are jerks, even in normal dungeons.

Its a part of the new generation of wow players “gogogo” attitude.

I recommend communicating with your party, tell them its been a while so dont rage and if they do, they are man children and just leave and move on with life.

I appreciate the kind words from those who were reasonable in this thread. Not so much the mean and snarky ones though.

I did end up conquering my fear though, and it ended up not being bad at all.

Unless if maybe you’re an inexperienced tank, there’s very little difference between the people you see in timewalking dungeons and actual NPCs.

It does get exhausting, though: to be constantly reminded that there are so many people around whose default attitude towards others is cruelty.

We could do a better job of shunning idiots.

Not to the people abusing and kicking for making mistakes that cost them a tenth of a second

Add me I guess. Alia#1173. If we get 3 other people who feel the same, we will just go slow but hopefully complete the content, and get our timewalking weekly done the next time it comes around.

I didn’t read all the replies but listen man, you’re in a dark place and you should take the time to seriously look at yourself.

As far as WoW goes GD forum way over exaggerates how toxic the community really is. I’ve done every single form of content in this game to some degree and can count my bad experiences on one hand. The amount of good, friendly people I’ve met in this game FAR outweighs the few mean ones.

I’m over 7000 kills in timewalking for the infinite timereaver. Even when people are basically AFK they don’t get kicked. The best way to get over it is to just press the button and you’ll realize your fear was irrational.

That being said you should really look at your physical and mental health. Make sure you get some sunlight each day. Make sure you get some exercise even if it’s just a 20 minute walk around your neighborhood. Look at your diet and try to remove processed items, especially the ones high in sugar and carbs. I promise you you’ll feel better. If not then seriously look into getting some mental help.

Too many people lack the power of belief. You can change your situation and problems if you want to.

All the ones I’ve done have basically been a cake walk. The only time someone says anything is if your not charging ahead at full speed
