A tabard would be nice. Or some item that gave rep from all sources within the zone and dungeons
It really isn’t right now. I just did it on an alt and it took less than 20 minutes because I did one of the initial quests that gave you 1k token with DMF buff you get 1200 plus doing a few other quests and I was done.
Once those one time quests are gone maybe if you are running lots of alts through there but if you are trying for 10 alts a week that is sort of a you problem anyway.
it gives you a cache with a piece of 411 gear and a crest that will enable you to upgrade to 424 gear (maybe more).
Yeah, hopefully in the “10.1.5” patch they add skips/quality of life features for alts
At first glance seems like they overlooked alts when designing this patch
the same bonuses are there that were already there at the start - you get 100% bonus rep on alts once you hit renown 10 on your main. You can skip the intro and fly right to the area - the skips are in already. (although there is a bug in that it won’t track your renown if you do but I am sure that will be corrected).
I suspect and hope that, like with the OG renown factions, Blizzard bumps up the rep per world quest to say 150-250.
Ignoring the weekly quest, how long would it take to complete the Nifflen renown track?
If it turns out to be a weekly it could be rough. Initially I tried doing it on alts without doing the story quest line and it was a long road.
For alts I found the best thing to do is fly straight down and pick up the niffen rep quest, then go back up and start doing the intro quest line where you get that 2500 rep token.

I agree that 1500 is going to get a little tough. But there is a catch up. The 1500 rep quest rewards a spark. If you dont complete the week’s spark quest, the following week, the spark can drop from, world rares, raid bosses, and in M+ chests. You can still only have the same number of sparks as your main, with catch up, but at most you will be 1 week behind your main on spark generation.
We know there is a rep catch up.

People really dont like playing their alts they want to gear.
It may not be, depending on what next week gives us with the incoming content there. We’ll have to see what that brings and if it’ll even out. If not, then I’d say people should use the in game suggestion tool to give them the feedback necessary to see if they’ll buff the rep.

I’d be content with account-wide rep rather than being forced to choose one character to progress. While I understand the boosts being meant to indirectly provide that to a degree, I think it’s a poor substitute. Most of the rewards are purely cosmetic (and things I won’t use anyway), so who cares if my alts get access to them immediately? They still need to farm up supplies to buy them. Recipes could have been gated to alts in some way if that was the primary concern. The actual gear is useless by the time I unlock any of them on my main, so it goes unused as well.
In the end, the rep grind itself is no motivator for me to stick to one character, even less appealing on alts, and I miss out on later chapters of the main story because of rep requirements. Neat.

I’d be perfectly fine with that as well. At minimum buff the contracts to provide 150 rep additional per WQ like they did with the Artisian’s C rep

Will the researcher event, when it starts, be a good/repeatable source of rep?
I quit my job and went on government assistance so I could properly devote time to WoW.
IDK, maybe don’t do 9 alts?
