when my pet dies and the ‘Heart of Phoenix’ button disappears from the the pet bar.
Sigh. Anyone know if there’s something I can do to stop that from happening?

Not sure, but have you tried macroing it?

If you don’t want a long, drawn out macro that functions as all sorts of things, just do the following.
#showtooltip Heart of the Phoenix
/cast Heart of the Phoenix
And drop that anywhere you want on your action bars. It won’t vanish on you, and you can click it when you need to. Strange pet-body-out-of-range bug effects notwithstanding."

Thanks Snipy. I haven’t made a macro for it, but I will based on your suggestion.
It had only happened once or twice before in Mop, but it happened today again when I was helping a player with the Commander quest. He ended up dying because I couldn’t get aggro off him, so I posted this while I was busy being pissed off. So thanks again!
