I just came back to pve druid. I was feral last season and this season I’m maining guardian. Is catweaving been made totally irrelevant for us? Tried a DotC build but elunes did just as much and was easier. Having fun either way, just kinda miss form shifting. It added a lot of rewarding complexity to our kits but wasn’t 100% necessary either.
You can add a chunk of dps by cat swapping every 2 min and landing a heart of the wild hit. Maybe get off a rip too. But that’s about it. You’ll more likely go cat to sprint to the next boss.

Yea that kinda seemed to be the extent of it. Dissapointing but it’s better than nothing!
Two other benefits…
- If you’re doing DotC (and select the right talent) switching to cat allows you to cast Frenzied Regen with cat energy instead of rage.
- If you sep[c into “maim” you can also stun mobs, which effectively givers you another interrupt on casters.
Would like to see more useful options. Cat weaving really is the DotC fantasy. It should be the solution to the low single target damage challenge and low adoption of DotC.
Once I get my feet under me tanking I’m gonna swap back to DotC and see how far I can push it. I think it’s the cooler flavor by far.
