I don't want to do this anymore

This is the game as it was designed, and purposefully recreated.

Your choice of server or faction resulted in an unlucky experience, it happens.

In this “timeline”, not everyone gets to be served by the all-powerful Blizzard god of equal opportunity. It’s more free for all.

Well, I am pretty much a pve carebear but I’ve been taking the “mean” side most of the time. Reason being, I am annoyed that people feel entitled to walk into enemy controlled territory on a PvP server and suffer no penalty. Whole POINT of a PvP server should be you don’t get to do that. That forces you to actually organize as a faction and fight for the territory.

You saw the sarcasm I hope. I dont believe anybody after 15 years of grinding wow is a carebear. Its a dumb term.

I also dont see where anyone feels entitled to just wander around unscathed on a pvp server. Thats some serious goalpost moving, and disingenuous to a legitimate wpvp gripe: density sucks.

PvP is Player versus Player. These gankfests are not Player versus Player on either side. I have seen both Horde and Alliance do this gankfest garbage. How is this considered a PvP fight when there is no way at all to defend? Bunch of chicken crap imo on both factions. If you want your honor for Player v. Player then get out in the world yourself and fight. Pounding one individual with 5+ is not a fight or PvP.

That’s not pvp, you flog.

It’s just like the old times. You either convert to their side and start anew or face the consequences and Go to retail. You have your options infront of you OP convert to the enemy faction or go to retail. It is the cycle of life.

But it is. At least according to the rules of the server. It’s always been this way.

While the ratio might be the same, the volume is not. The volume is what has caused the problem.

You can make up an idea of what PvP ‘should’ be all you want.

But the only thing that matter is if it is allowed by the game rules and if its a player(s) vs another players(s).

If you don’t like the PvP server rules there is another set of rules to play with: PvE server rules.

Well. 3am for YOU is about 8am for the rest of the world. So…

Time zones. Crazy concepts

I have identified your problem. You keep trying to 1v5.

How can you ever expect to win in a 1v5?

Because people who play on PvE servers aren’t going to have premades? They aren’t going to be geared to the hilt (especially later tiers)? They aren’t going to be organized?

I think you’re in for a surprise.

Ah! Still beating that dead horse I see. I don’t play on an unbalanced server, in fact, my server is pretty close to balanced, however I do feel for those that cannot play the game. It’s not because it’s a “pvp server”, it’s because it’s a “completely out of proportion, grossly overpopulated pvp server”.

Why do you all keep getting so defensive over a solution that would have absolutely no effect on you whatsoever?

What solution?

None specifically, but there has to be some way these people can gain relief without having to reroll. It takes time and effort to build a character, and it would absolutely suck if people were forced to reroll because blizzard expanded the caps for no good reason, and without letting people know.
The majority of them did not sign up for this. Any person with half a brain, had they known what pvp servers would be like in this version, would never have rolled on a pvp server.

Rules arent what people have a problem with. Density is the problem.

Oh I agree with that, but I was speaking in the context of those that are the farmers/geared and those being farmed/behind, if we keep demoralizing them they tend to give up rather than push through.

The raiders and the honor geared will already be at an advantage. Which is great, but don’t expect the rest of the players to sacrifice themselves for your goals.

Ok. So no solution…

However, I personally would not be opposed to paid PvP to PvE transfers. That would be a ‘solution’ for most.

But the reality of the situation is that is not possible right now, maybe never. I believe it eventually will be but no one can offer that as a solution at the moment.

The only solutions to someone not enjoying a PvP server is:

  • Quit
  • Re-roll PvE
  • Adapt and try to have fun on a PvP server instead of complaining about players simply playing the game

Except AV which will probably be close.

Oh those poor players simply playing the game riding around on their skeletal warhorses in raid gear. How dare anyone stop them from spending 18 hours a day camping the flight paths and every 10 meters to blackrock mountain killing a level 52 holy priest 5vs1 with engineering then spitting on them and eating their corpse before killing them again and again and again for well over half an hour until they just give up. How could anyone want to rob them of this totally normal and healthy experience or have any expectation that they don’t conduct themselves in this fashion so as not to ruin the game for others. Obviously their behavior is all my fault because I made a bad choice.
