I don't understand how multiboxing is different that botting

as a party, all being controlled at the same time, soloing dungeons by yourself with near perfect execution

No, actually. Technically it costs $15/month x however many people are in said group. That $30/month can beat $75/month.

each player would be paying $15/month

You really don’t think that having a full group at your beck and call at the exact time you want to do somehing where you have complete control of the loot, who is going to get it, etc in PVE content is an advantage? Same with being able to reliably kill elites, do pretty much any quest when you feel like it, etc?

I don’t think it is pay to win, but I definitely think it is pay to be more efficient.

Running dungeons as a multibox takes longer and is less efficient than as a group of individual players.

…yeah, and if two people are grouped, that’s $30.

16 minute at level scarlet monastery armory run. remember, no group forming time and no party loot drama BS

yep. each player paying $15 a month instead of one player paying $30 a month or more to have a duplication of their input, spells, abilities, ect

While you have full control of the loot, you also need to obtain five times the loot to stay relevant. And you will never be able to perform as well as a party of five players.

As a Warlock I can virtually solo any group quest or elite. The fear immune mobs are harder, but we have so many tools it’s ridiculous. Also it’s not hard to get help - while multiboxers may have an easier time here, again, it’s completely irrelevant because it just doesn’t matter. What does having an easier time soloing elites do for you?

Only if your goal is to gear 5 people. Most multi boxers I have seen have a main, and everyone else who facilitated that main

Also my statement was that it was more efficient, not that it was not possible to do it without multi boxing.

You’re not following at all. I’m saying if two players grouped ($30) can beat a multiboxer running 5 accounts ($75), it’s not P2W by your definition.

Correct. And they need to gear those characters or they fall off heavily. Plus, for collection quests, they have to do it 5 times too. There are benefits and demerits to multiboxing. For every advantage they get, they have at least one disadvantage.

Could run it even quicker as a level 60 mage. You have no point here.

it would still be pay to win because one player couldnt beat the other player

Okay, except the game isn’t balanced for 1v1 and there are plenty of instances where a player won’t be able to beat another player. How is this any different? You seem to think 1v1 matters, and that world PvP is still something anyone cares about beyond a handful of exceptions.

the point is that the power that comes with the ability to replicate your input across 5 characters is exclusive to being able to pay for it

Only if they deem it worthwhile. It is not required that they do so. 5 man content is a joke, the hardest part is getting 5 people to show up with the right composition,

Also it doesn’t matter if the number of advantages to disadvantages is the same, if the impact of them is different.

oh my b, i didnt realize i understood the game classic world of warcraft incorrectly

Uh, yeah. You can also not multibox and still be more powerful than an individual player by tabbing between them quickly. A Warrior with a Priest on a second account autofollowing just tossing heals and DoTs without actually multiboxing is massively stronger than a Warrior alone. Should they ban people being allowed to play two accounts?

not really. 5 blizzards vs 1 blizzard. 5 anything vs 1 anything is obviously more powerful
