I don't understand how Blizzard is this incompetent (ie unplayable lag)

So I hate sharding but sharding (and instances) operate on their own server at least. This should mean they can never be overloaded because only a limited number of people would be on one shard/instance.

But no, trying to do the stupid conveyor belt scenario with quite literally 20 second lag (all addons disabled so don’t start with that). And now I’m trying to fly around and kill the 30 things on 20 second input lag. I get maybe 1 a minute and have to reset after 5 because my mount is nearly dead.

This is the second attempt too. The first attempt had me DC after Sylvanas.

For something where there’s a limited number of players present, how can it be this bad?

Sorry but I do this for a living and it’s not that hard to put 20-30 people in a spot and have them do stuff. It’s really not.

Agreed, Blizzards architecture must just be as awful as the rest of their quality of work. I’m done expecting positive things from this group at Blizz, everything they release is just sh*t. I wish they would re-build the wow team from the ground up and kick off of these incompetent people out the door. The game has been swirling down the drain for years now and they can’t even release a functioning patch after 8+ months. If they can’t do their jobs, fking fire them already.

Becoz massive people is returning jamming the servers. Just relax, it will normalize.

No, this issue existed on the PTR from the moment it was put in, it’s gotten tons and tons of feedback, it just went ignored and unchanged.

Blizzard is just a name now. It’s activation pooching the screw these days.

The take their time til it’s good and right days are over. They want you out there paying cash for tokens and nothing else.

This. This is Bobby Kotick’s business philosophy for games, he has stated that he runs games into the ground extracting as much short term profit as the dead horse will spit out until he shuts it down, and locks the game away in their IP storage in case they ever need to whip it back out. Need examples? Guitar Hero and Skylanders.

Edit: and Call of Duty looks to be joining them based on the reception and general attitude toward the new Black Ops game, and leaks suggest this years game is already dead in the water and is basically expected to do awful. They are dropping it anyway in the state that they predict to be hated to try to get any money while their only good CoD team works on another Modern Warfare.

Guys, this is the first time they have done a patch like this. Give them time to get it right. Think, in 15 years they will be implementing patches so smoothly you’ll forget how rough this first patch that they have ever done went. Headed to my flat earth meeting see you all later!

They never stop going lower. They never cease to surprise their players with continuously worsening releases. Literally every time you wait for something from this team it is worse than before. The only thing you can expect from these devs is that their quality of work will diminish every time they release something new.

Well, you can’t blame them. That’s the price of rushing 9.1 out in record time.

And this is the first patch of the expansion…imagine the second patch which might come in the year 2022…

Yep. What do we expect them to manage in only 8 months? Not nearly enough time.

Particularly for a small indie company on a shoestring budget.

Same thing happened to me twice and I just logged f that

Welcome new player! Ya I’ve been playing for 13 years and can say this is a smoother than most patch day

There’s only so much it is reasonable to expect from a multi-dollar company.

Someone needs to tell them their goal is to design a fun and functioning video game, not become limbo dancing champions lol

That is the dream…ah…we can dream can’t we?
