I don't think the Jailer is the bad guy.. Here's why

WoW is pretty much the poster child of the ‘road to hell’ saying.

So you’re the guy buying up all the Reynolds wrap.

This doesn’t matter and I don’t know why it keeps coming up.

Doing them for a good cause still makes them evil. She has gone far past anti hero and into villain who at times works with the heroes territory.

Nah she was evil in classic she just had her sights on Arthas only. So when that didn’t give her the feeling she wanted she just started killing anything and anyone.

You don’t get followers saying “Death to the living!” by being just different.

I already have the “Awesome Medal of Awesomeness” the “Brave Medal of Bravery” and the 'Redundant Medal of Redundancy". I guess one more wouldn’t hurt.

Uhh… And his body didn’t go anywhere because that’s not what happens when you die. He didn’t get kidnapped. He got killed. Then he was dead. Then we watched him die. His body, still there, dead. Please, think before saying things, sometime, someday, do it.

Respects-bows hat-

It never ceases to amaze me, how hard people try to justify bad writing with considerations that the writing team 100% is not.

I mean, bravo for thinking about this more than they do, but it’s really just that.

Just out of curiosity, what do you think all of us who say “ugh, Sylvanas will probably go full Kerrigan/Queen of Blades” actually mean?

We know it’s a possibility, but I assure you that comments like that are not giddy with anticipation.

Except… Illidan was never really evil… misguided, selfish and doing the wrong things for the right reasons? Sure, but never evil… even in BC when we were all confused about WHY we were killing him (since last we had seen, he was stil doing the selfish tapdance but still kinda on our side), they never painted him as evil like Sylvie has been.

AU Grommash never should have happened… screams in Draenor is free

Saurfang was considered and painted a hero due to his repentance of what he had done, Wrath did a good job of showing him as the soldier who knew and admitted to his sins.

No, Sargeras went insane, his job was to protect, he saw the void lords and their influence and descided rather then try to fix the problem, burn everything, start over with himself as the creator.

TD;LR If they redeem Sylvie, it will be hamfisted and so out of line with the storyline up to now, there might be a riot at this point, every printed work about her, every ingame appearance, she has been evil… maybe not always total psycho like she has gone in BFA, but she has -never- been morally grey. Trying to justify her past actions like how you described would be just… horrifying.

AU everything should not have happened.

Also MU Grommash being considered a hero is like O.o?

Yeeeeah… i get it, he killed Mannaroth, so he had his ‘redemption’ but i never really liked the him being a hero thing…

He never struck me as being like Surafang or Etrigg and really feeling the burden of his past, beyond the whole demon blood thing.

I doubt the will “redeem” her. Instead she will turn out to have been right about using evil to fight off a greater evil. They already did Garrosh 2.0, so why not throw in an Illidan 2.0?

Jailer: I will forge you a new and heal your undeath.
Sylvanas: I AM MY UNDEATH!
pew pew eye lasers (she can also now shoot eye lasers).

Sylvanas is a latent Xel’naga and will transform in order to combat the Void Lord (Corrupt Xel’naga) that’s coming.

He kill Mannaroth to free the orcs from the blood fury that he caused in the first place by having them re-drink the blood…

turns slowly, faces every orc alive BLOODY FRENZY… IS FREEEEEEEE

I think what they meant was the whole “serve me or die!” choice Sylvanas gave her Forsaken “people”. Further reinforced this expansion by her killing turn coat and loyal alike at the Reunion event. Even in life she said this about her soldiers: “Merely arrows in my quiver.”.

As for The Jailer: he eats souls, likely commissioned the sabotaging of the Machine of Death, and had Sylvanas harvest innocent and warring souls alike for him to utterly destroy to increase his own power slowly erasing the realms for good souls in the Shadowlands in the process leaving only the torturous Maw as the ONLY destination of dying souls coming in from the living universe. He’s as evil as you can get.

nobody and i repeat nobody, take the frozen throne alone…she is all bad…she wont come back from it

in fact since she let loose the lich king, i suppose we’ll be fighting more ghouls in the future, including the horseman

no one really care about the Jailer or shadowlands in general, I’m glad I stopped playing it so early on.
