"I don't have time anymore to find a group."

Vanilla players ‘We want classic, because we’re tired of retail’

Retail players ‘Hey, we’re also tired of retail, we wanna play classic too… but only if we make it exactly like retail in every way’

And that’s how we lost Classic WoW, and got ‘BfA Enhanced Vanilla’ instead.

♫ yea you know me! ♫

Yes, this is why queueable content in WoW since LFD was added is linear hallways that take 15-30 minutes.

They design around their awful features.

Heres the thing folks.

I went from not touching wow in YEARS to jumping on a pserver. Within a month, I was in a guild playing with folks, and we are going to carry over to Classic.

You will find groups. You will find friends. You will play Classic.

They really, really need this sense of superiority.

Blizzard has kept classic pretty authentic considering what it could have been turned into.

I remember back pre-announcement I would always have conversations with others wanting vanilla discussing things like should have remove DHKs, should they do progressive patches or static, if they should wipe the servers after a couple years or so… and then the announcement came and every dumb suggestion under the sun started popping up out of nowhere. It’s literally just retail players asking for some QoL changes because they want to try out what the game use to be, but they can’t leave their crutches behind.

Don’t have time? Then maybe classic isn’t for you BFA sounds like a better fit.

Did you even read my post?

Not saying that at you directly just in general to people that might say they don’t have time. I’m agreeing with you.

Imagine thinking Vanilla WoW was hardcore lol I bet this kid wasn’t even born when the game dropped the way he talks. This LFG addon is nothing like what we have on retail dude, you still have to run to the dungeon and spend time in a group with people. Spamming trade chat in a city doesn’t build community or make the game more difficult, it just wastes time.

Thank you. My hunter is going to be spending most of his time farming stuff for crafting , making things that I can actually sell to levelers and just enjoy LIVING in Azeroth. Havent done that in an MMO in a long time

Thanks again for making a topic about this, it really helps get the word out about this great addon.

Remember, the addon is ClassicLFG. It lets you easily find people to get stuff done with, be social with, maybe even eventually guild with. A real boon for social interactions in the game.

Just like the original Vanilla LFG addon, Call To Arms.

Except they were literally just stones back then. They didn’t allow you to do anything other than meet outside of an instance. They did not allow summoning at that point in time.

Yep. Also finding the group is sometimes easier than getting there. Either way I am sort of looking forward to it.

I bet everybody in this thread will use the addon when its out.

Stop injecting yourself into this argument. You will probably play Classic for a few weeks tops before you hoof stomp your way back to Retail.

It’s really not though. They are giving you the patched version that was released post Naxx (Edit - Wrong month - August 2006). What about the November 2004 - July 2006 gameplay/items/classes/specs/tuning/etc.

The people that want to be silent bots through vanilla will miss out on the point.

That is sad. But I will be out there in the world, helping other players, and I’m anticipating a lot of people asking me if I can come heal a dungeon for them. But they will have to talk to me.

I dont think I will be using the lfg tool, if I wanted to be antisocial and collect loot I’d be playing BFA.
