"I don't group up with frost DKs"

Thanks a lot for all the advice. I look forward to my next m+ when I blast the whole pack in 5 seconds and die to bursting.

You got lucky, OP. You were spared running with a dork. I hope you kept trying and got what you needed.

Frost DK is completely underrated. Definitely do not get invites on this guy like I do on my DH. It’s unfortunate, pulls high numbers too. In M+, can be absurd. And with my current setup, single target is great.

looks at my two DK’s that happen to play frost.

They play perfectly fine for me, especially the BoS build, that deals like a bunch of damage the longer you keep it going.

I’d gladly trade some of Frost DK’s durability for a bit more flexibility. Yes, I said it, I wouldn’t be adverse to nerfs, so long as we got something in return. Like oh … maybe … I dunno …

Mobility? Yeah, that sounds like something lovely.

…Ehhh?

I mean, it’s helpful in Mythic pluses to cut the time down by 20 or more %, but i never seen mobility too much a requirement in combat situations really. Maybe it’s just me. I do dig the durability of the Frost DK though.

Unholy only greatly outperforms frost if the tank can pull huge numbers. Frost does fine and sometimes even better than Unholy if the packs are normal sized, around 5 or 6. They also have to set up less before they start reaching the big numbers.

I know why they made us so slow we may as well be in a wheelchair. They were “inspired” by the Lich King’s “slow advance” in one of the dungeons in Wrath. Brain fart on the dungeon name. But he just casually and slowly walks toward the group, waves of Scourge heading toward you.

While that scene was cool … sometimes the lack of mobility irks me when I’m playing my DK.

Halls of Reflections

Ehh, i never been too bothered by it. Especially since they have a buff that keeps them above 70% speed at all times even if they are snared or something.

I think 70%, maybe it’s 100%?.. :man_shrugging:

Currently levelling a mechagnome Unholy DK. Still trying to figure out their rotation. Oh, I see potential, but it feels a bit weird, especially after all my experience with Frost. Not doing him all that seriously. We’ve been power levelling the toons, so not really doing things “properly”.

Maybe I’m missing something, but it seems that the main reason you get multiple stacks of festering wounds is JUST for Apocalypse.

Like I said, brain fart. I’m busy doing a lot today. Heading out to see my family tomorrow. No WoW for a week … how will I survive? Oh wait, we’re in lame duck season now. No big loss.

EDIT: I’ll be in Kansas from Monday to Friday. Sister got vacation time so … I get to suffer the heat and the humidity. But, its a chance to see family, which doesn’t come around very often. We live STATES apart.

Ehhh, it was more of a mercy killing. They didnt want you to suffer.

i get that on my feral druid you get used to it…

If you want to do decent numbers on smaller packs you’ll want to get wounds on as many targets as you can and then pop them all with DND and scourge strike, Remember that when under the affect of DND Scourge strike hits all targets and that will pop wounds on every target within your DND. If you use Bursting wounds you can get some really good numbers but the set up is a little long.

Profiles don’t show crap.

You cant hide your armory. That’s what people are trying to hide.

Just bring up main armory page and enter their name. Done.

Don’t worry, in Shadowlands…

they’ll be able to decline you for being a frost DK AND the wrong covenant

I feel ya! I’ve been kicked from so many groups for being MM and it’s very annoying.

I like to write down the names of the people who kick me so I can check to see who they got instead and how long it took them to finish the dungeon. I got kicked from an 11 ML group for being MM and it took them 91 minutes with their BM hunter. Lol.

It’s okay, those people think everything is the MDI and we’re better off playing without them.

A huge QoL change I’d like to see is showing your spec when you apply to groups in group finder. It hurts my heart to apply to 50 groups, get into one, and then get kicked because I’m MM.

Lead’s objectively an absolute moron. Unholy isn’t even good for the pulls most groups do and Frost is literally the king of the non-meta specs.

Don’t worry, the majority of these people would rather be disappointed at an amateur Fire Mage than a Good Frost DK (or any other lesser taken spec).

Not a group you want to be in anyway.

Case in point, and also happens to be a rogue :unamused:

A man of culture I see🍷

Corruptions are more important than spec at this point. Maybe poor choice was why you were declined. Frost is better as aoe spec, single target damage is more important for bursting week.
