I don't agree with the Community Council structure and I opted to not read people with golden texts

Community Council is just a publicity stunt.

No more or less.

I think the gold text is stupid.
But to ignore someone for it? Even more stupid.

have you seen opinions on the forums though

I didn’t know there were applications but now that I understand that this is the case I am more likely to listen to it.

Post like yours are exactly the reason why Blizzard rightfully ignores this fo forum.

Yes and some of them have been good opinions that didn’t come from someone with orange text.

Whatever floats your boat :woman_shrugging:

you’re right, they arnt much for honesty.

and what’s the ratio of good opinions to dumpster fire on this forum.

feels like maybe .5/99.5

I don’t keep count.

Looks like you don’t either.

to be fair you’re also right about this lol

One of the biggest criticisms of WoW, and often repeated on this forum, is that WoW tends to be focused on the top few % who engaged in the hardest high end content. The rest of the players just get “trickle down” content.

Many would like to see Blizzard make content intentionally for casual players that is engaging and enjoyable - something that feels end game ish even if it is not. Housing is one of the most common requests along that line as well as related crafting systems.

The top 1% have had a straight line to Devs for years now. Many are influencers and have had access to the “secret forums”, have been invited as raid or PvP groups to do exclusive Alpha and Beta content testing, have engaged in focus groups, etc.

Push back is that secret input from the top % has not made WoW better. that it was time to have both transparency and people who focus on other aspects of the game.

From there came the Community Council. Every interaction with Devs is public and the people come from a very wide range of interests.

I wish leveling is made more interesting and rewarding

According to the Dragonflight info, that is one of the reasons they are bringing back the Talent system. They realize that not having any meaningful decisions to make during leveling, feeling you are getting more powerful and building your character, is not as fun. It loses a key aspect of an RPG.

We also have a huge variety of places to level so can choose our expansion and quest lines. I like not having to do the same thing over and over.

What else do you think would make leveling feel interesting and rewarding?

I feel mobs are very dull to fight. Like they just boosted their health with scaling system and made them a damage sponge

I wish mobs are given some dangerous abilities where defeating them can feel satisfying

The danger of dying should be present

Personally, and this would be a very difficult thing to accomplish, more ways for me to heal to level.

I only play this game to be a healer, so right now dungeons and raids are my fun as I don’t like PvP.

Pretty much all healing content is endgame. Sure dungeons exist before endgame but it’s not really viable to level, and doing so would put you reduculously behind in the games systems. (Renown is an example)

I enjoyed warfronts as it was new content I could heal, but those were not leveling content either.

I’m honestly not sure what could be done in that regard though. ._.

Healing as a leveling strategy would require a group. Either leveling with friends, or the creation of an AI leveling partner.

We have had some expansions where we have bodyguards and companions, sometimes with great abilities that help. Expanding on that system could allow a wider variety of leveling builds besides the standard DPS.

Also quests don’t give a feeling of adventure

Like take example of warrior quests in classic where I have to travel to different parts of Azeroth to collect components for the armor

That created a sense of adventure

And I enjoyed having that bodyguard, while I know many found them annoying.

I really loved the companions we had in Legion.

Some of them who were greens in the past have really let the orange text get to their heads. Going as far as accusing others of violating forum rules (even after mods have reversed flags) or even indicating that they’re trying to dox someone.

It’s pretty sickening. I never had greens on my ignore, but now I have oranges on my ignore.

Long spread out quests like that can certainly feel epic. They also tend to appeal to a small group of players.

You see, there are also a lot of vocal folks who want leveling to go faster faster faster! The more spread out quests are, the more they dislike it.

Hence what we have right now which is pretty efficient questing, but there are still some epic style long quest lines with rewards that feel worth it (or are supposed to feel worth it).

Do you really think it would be realistic to have the main quest lines be spread out across the world for a large portion of content?
