I don’t understand Discipline Priests

DPriest was phenomenal in Cata. I miss it dearly.

I don’t understand why atonement doesn’t heal for a SET amount each time the priest does damage. Like a HoT that only works when you’re doing damage, and balance the rest of the kit around this. The Sage job in FF14 works like this and it’s the most fun healer I’ve ever played in an MMO.

Isn’t a bad idea.
