They sure evolved, they all left
Yeah… The game is almost 20 yrs old buddy.
The original game is 20 years old, but not the current content… kinda like buying a new honda and saying its from 1948
I think raiding is too difficult so I don’t do it
Hate to break it to you but people generally enjoy some sort of challenge in their games. Destiny 2 recently upped the difficulty of the game and it’s sitting at one of it’s highest player counts ever since launch lol.
Wrath is the version that made multiple raid difficulties and hard modes.
It’s easy in classic now, but hard mode Ulduar, heroic ToC, and heroic ICC where not easy at all for players during Wrath.
I get what your saying but its the basic principle of video games, when people play they wanna win, if you make the content too challenging or not rewarding enough people aint gonna do it
I don’t care for hard content either. I play for fun not for competition. My competitive years are over at this point. I just don’t have time and the energy to deal with the rude people that compeitive brings. I’ll stick to normal difficulty raids and low mythic plus keys if I ever get into mythic plus.
Bot and Bot program’s coupled with extreme min maxing has complete gutted the game. This game is indeed an E-Sport and lots of people are making lots of money by exploiting the game. If you cant beat them, joinem.
I guess.
Do you feel this way about all games? Must beat them on the hardest difficulty setting or the game isn’t worth it?
Or only for WoW?
Me too bud. Play a game that’s more casual friendly for sure. DCUO, FFXIV, Guild wars
OP, don’t do challenging content and at the same time don’t except similar or same rewards other players have worked hard for. While I understand your point of view, it’s whiney to be honest.
I enjoy all types of WoW content, including m+. I’ve raided for years, this xpac I’ve taken a break from raiding, my point is, after achieving KSM and KSH this xpac I’m leveling a bunch of characters in time for 10.1. I thoroughly enjoy world content , questing, and also have plans to go back to Shadowlands to finish farming Covenant rewards, including going into Legion content to open up all the class order halls (skipped Legion xpac when it was live), that’s not even the tip of iceberg.
There’s a ton of stuff to do in the game, it appears you’re not seeing it and focused on the new epic shinny that challenging content can bring. Stop it

I feel like the massive success of the souls games kind of contradicts this statement lol.

Oh the nerd scream I did when I beat Malenia…

I feel like the massive success of the souls games kind of contradicts this statement lol.
I’ve dropped games for being too hard. Souls games draw in people but also push them away. I’ve completed some souls games and enjoy them but they aren’t group based which adds a whole extra level of stress.

Do you feel this way about all games? Must beat them on the hardest difficulty setting or the game isn’t worth it?
I play games to have fun when i got nothing to do to kill time, if the game is not fun or entertaining i aint gonna do it… most people play on here to achieve things on wow makes them feel accomplished

People drop games for being too easy too so this is a moot point lol.
Solid troll attempt, I guess. Blizzard has been listening to the casual community since day 1. Esports is taking over? My dude, Blizzard has spent decades systematically stripping their games to the extent of MLG - and most other major gaming platforms - simply disregard most Blizzard games.
Troll better.

Solid troll attempt
Sorry but someone posting on a level 50 alt doesn’t have the right to call other people trolls
The game has been evolving in many different directions simultaneously to please different audiences.
With that in mind, what could the game offer you more of that would give you a gameplay loop you’re enjoy more? Or is it a case that whole communities you want to play with are gravitating towards gameplay loops you don’t enjoy?
