I don’t care how long it takes. No expansion will be good until there’s a permanent, usable fourth pillar

Game is dying cause “It takes 2 years to implement anything major” as a dev has mentioned many times.

BFA WQ dropping 445 gear. Pepperidge Farm Remembers
Then some streamer raider made a QQ moan video and Ion did his bidding.

Very true. Current Warcraft is just an instance timerun simulator where the goal is to get gear which is obsolete the next patch.

I’m dead serious when I say this…

You’re playing the wrong genre of games. Stop trying to fit a square peg in a round hole then complaining that every drop in subs or sales is because of your bugaboo issue.

Yep. I’m not into FPS so I make it a point not to go to a FPS game’s forum and demand that it be more like an RTS.

“It doesn’t hurt your gameplay” is the retort of players who have no concept of time and limited resources. No game can be for everyone. If you hate playing with other people then avoid MMORPGs. Simple.

BWHAHAHA all these replies saying WOW is a MMORPG then going on giving a false definition on what a real MMORPG means yes it means Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game but where they are all wrong is what MMORPG stands for.

It does not mean players must group up with each other it just means there are a lot of other players who inhabit the same game world at the same time and from the looks of the elitists in this thread is it any wonder no one really wants to be forced to group with you.

For those who still can’t comprehend what MMORPG really means and still think it means being forced to group here is the definition.

  1. an online role-playing video game in which a very large number of people participate simultaneously.

The game is actively better for ignoring this idea. This is not a single player game. There are many of those–you should to play them instead. This is a massively multiplayer game. If you don’t want to play with other people, that’s fine, but if that’s the case, you shouldn’t be playing a massively multiplayer game.

I do not want my favorite game polluted with this garbage. I do not want development resources being wasted on this garbage. You want wow to be turned into something that is not wow. If you don’t like wow, stop playing wow.

I would probably cap the rewards to like 415 max.
And have to limit the amount of rewards per week.
Kind of have to make it like a vault situation.

I see so many people replying with the ol’ “ya just don like WoW, bud” and it’s so tiresome.
Guys, it’s 2023. The game can’t possibly remain the same as it was in 2006.

There’s millions of new players wanting to experience this game, and theyre entitled to have an updated opinion on how the genre should evolve…
I wholeheartedly agree that we need more solo content. Solo players should be have the chance to fully gear out their characters without the need of a group. If that’s not possible, at least have them be able to get as close as possible to max Power.

The mage tower Is a perfect example of how good and cuallenging solo content can be.
I’m have 2 jobs and 2 kids, which makes finding time for steady group content very difficult, but I still want to play and challenge my abilities against hard content in WoW.
Yes, I could go play some soulslike game (and I do), but I love WoW and nothing feels like this game to me.
So, why shouldn’t I have the chance to test how good I am at the game I enjoy so much, without having to compromise if I just don’t have the same availability as I used to?

It also doesn’t mean there should be a solo grind for top end gear. Any MMO you play the best gear is going to come from grouping up. I spend about 90 percent of my time in game solo. I rarely group except for the occasional dungeon or LFR. The open world in DF was easy by the time you hit ilevel 300 so if you don’t care about grouping there is no need for top end gear. And there is SO many more ways to get better gear in this game in the open world than there ever was in the previous expansions.

You should not be getting end-game gear from solo content in an MMO. Period. Want to have a new Torghast (which was so very popular and such a great use of dev time to create…), it should cap out at like 372.

I agree. If you want to know what the end result of the OP idea is go check out SWTOR. Over two hundred million dollars was spend to make a solo friendly MMO and it went FTP within six months. They went even further in the solo direction and let you solo all the group content. The game is now basically on maintenance mode with a skeleton staff producing the occasional tiny patch being called expansions. To heck with that. If you don;t like WOW’s design then go play SWTOR or a single player game. Don’t ruin WOW.

You can put together a group for a key 24 hours a day if you have like 40 minutes free.

I really want to run a marathon. I shouldn’t have to run 26 miles to do it though. I demand we make marathons not require any running so I can do it too. Come on Blizz! You’re killing marathons by making them be 26 miles of running! Marathons need to change to stay current!!!

The Mage Tower was popular. Visions and Torg were experiments into solo content. Blizzard should absolutely take what was good about each attempt and create content.

Some people also believe end-game gear should not come from dungeons or pvp. I disagree. The ilvl of gear should correspond to the difficulty of the content.

What happens if they don’t like to PuG but none of their friends/guildies are online? I never PuG outside of filling one slot if needed. I wouldn’t mind having something to do to progress my toon for those times when I want to play but people aren’t on.

Right now is a great example. There’s one other Guildie on and no one is on in my friends list (which is very large). That’s to be expected for this time of day but I have a few hours to kill before I have to meet clients. If there was a solo prog system (like Torghast or Visions or the MT) I’d likely run it but I’m playing Destiny 2 instead.

Nah, miss me with all of that. If I have to play a massively multiplayer game solo in order to gear for raid, I’m walking away from the game. That sounds miserable. Solo content has no place in gearing for end-game content.

All of this is antithetical to what wow actually is.

It depends on the difficulty of the content. If you feel that’s too much I would say of heroic level loot then, maybe even normal. Really depends on the difficulty it holds. I don’t think 395/405 is really all that big of a deal reward wise.

Good. You don’t need to play wow 24/7. If you don’t enjoy how the game works, do exactly what you’re doing: play something else.

If we make end-game progression systems in solo content, solo content becomes required. That’s bad in a massively multiplayer game.

Don’t have the time or desire to form a group and do a thing? OK: Play. Something. Else.
