Finally, a sensible druid.
Back in yee old days pretty much all pre raid gear looked pretty decent together since it was all simple normal looking items, and any combination of items looked pretty believable.
Nowadays all gear is weirdo fantasy designs, and if you don’t transmog you look like an abomination.
Everything about that outfit is awesome.
i really hate that excuse, ya know? i suppose with the exception of feral—since you can move faster if in cat form—but why for the love of thrall would i be running around in bear form so much that i never see what i’m wearing? People who use “oh im a druid lawl” as an excuse are just not creative people.
you heard me, lazy druids.
It me.

I still mog myself. I even got my RP feet mog.
Yeah, I knew someone who hated it because it gets rid of the tradition of looking like you fell head first into a laundry hamper
Some people just want to watch the world burn, or at least our retinas.
I really like your mog!
I never look at my or anybody else’s character. Who cares? I’m busy looking at where I’m going or what I’m hitting.
.
…
…
… W-whats a “RP feet mog”?
I have the Bananadin set and the Lorewalker tabard. That’s a retina-searing rig if ever there was one.
If the middle of gear gathering cycle it can be wasted gold. At least in 8.0 and on fresh 120’s working that progression from 300 to 320 piece by piece it was gold I said yeah…I will just be back here maybe an hour later anyway. 8.1 did make this price not so bad I will say as a good thing about 8.1.
Sometimes its laziness. Horde bfa city makes this worse. I jsut don’t want to take a flight master to get to the part with the transmog dude.
Sometimes its I have better things to do.
Maybe they are getting ready for “Classic.”
I got spoiled, in Legion, when “PVP (not really, though) World Quests” were often for marks of honor (near the start, before they were eventually for everything BUT marks of honor.) I got so many, first on my Hunter and later on this character. I got the “Stylist” title from it, with my hunter.
So my Hunter, this Dk and my Priest ended up with lots of mog sets.
Now I’m chillin in 7th legion stuff, mainly, trying to get the Darkshore stuff (got helm and two cloaks, so far.)
Even though I have the gold and a lot of xmog, cost is the main the reason.
Judging people based on their looks may be a part of our evolutionary history, but it is still shallow…
Please explain to me why you care what other people are doing with their mogs, or lack of.
Because I don’t blow money on clothes in real life, as it’s not financially sensible, same in game, not going to waste gold on looking pretty.
I may one day though if I have reason to play more and attend social events in wow, but right now I just log in, do world quest emissary and log off.
I do zero farming and still make a profit w/ constant transmogs on upgraded slots just by vendoring greys and picking up random dungeon rewards … what on earth are you people doing that you can’t afford to drop 120g?
Context though, I came back to WoW after spending a bunch of time on ESO (which we all like to call Fashion Scrolls Online), so maybe I’m just super-conditioned to the concept of looking damn good while I wreck stuff?
Edit to add: but this chick’s transmog gear ain’t great so don’t assume I mean to say she also looks damn good lol. Need to get back on her and fix her up tbh.
Well, you kind of make the opposite point with your mog:
You look cool, which adds to the feel of the game.
It looks like you care, like you tried.
Without mogging you’d still look OK, since at least the 7th legion gear you have on would go together, but the mog you put together is eye catching and fun.
Maybe it is because some of us have played since Vanilla Wow, being subjected to the horrible cosmetic of Player “mismatched Rodeo Clowns.”
