I bought the reins of the dark phoenix and used it but it still says that I don’t have the mount. I’m exalted with my guild and everything. Am I missing something or does this sound like a bug?
When you learned it, you should have gotten a message saying it was learned. Did you see it?
Are you sure you didn’t have a vendor or your bank open when you right clicked on it to use it? (If that might have been the case, check your bank and the buyback tab on a vendor just to make sure.)
Next, make sure that you didn’t accidentally buy the similarly named battle pet, “Dark Pheonix Hatchling” which is also on the guild vendor.
Finally, you can try relogging to see if that updates the mount list.
If none of those are the problem, I’d put in a ticket about it in game.
Try typing
/use dark phoenix
If you get mounted on it after that command, you have learned it. If it’s not showing up in your mount collection, toggle all the filters on the mount list off then back on.

This just happened to me yesterday, opened a ticket but GM just give me a wowhead link to the dark Phoenix reins…
