So I got brave enough to do my first solo level 8 Delve yesterday! I was ilevel 591. Let me tell you … THAT WAS THE MOST FUN I HAVE HAD IN THIS GAME IN A DECADE!!! Now I’m not saying I haven’t had fun. But hot patootie bless my soul did I have a blast!!!
I did Bountiful Waterworks at 8 and even though Waxface dropped my lives below zero (new internet latency issues I need to adjust, on my screen looked like I was out of his explosion and nope lol) I had a blast!! Beating it felt rewarding like I had just beat a hard Dark Souls boss, not that hard of course but I did a F-yeah fist pump of joy when I cleared it.
Solo Delves may have just single handedly restored my obsession with this game. Can’t wait to get comfy to the point I’m doing 9’s then 10’s and then 11’s daily!!!

I attempted a 9 but they hit too hard. Probably need to go to Kriegval’s. Some of the Delves are way too hard for Rogue. Too many adds meleeing in too tight of spaces. Also some of them continue their casts through stuns, GG.

Congrats! I haven’t tried an 8 yet, just finished a 7 earlier this week, I do maybe 1 delve a week.
These are fun and I’m looking forward to reach the boss delve!
I play as MM with no pets, so we’ll see how it goes.

I agree when I started clearing my first 8’s the feeling I got reminded me of guild first Heroic raid kills. Decided to go ahead and see how high I can solo now did a quick 9 after work with 1 death (silver mob along with a 3 pack).

I quite enjoy delves. I don’t mind raiding and M+, but delves hit me just right. I can log on for 15 minutes and do one or two and feel like I’ve accomplished something instead of sitting in lfg for 5 minutes waiting to do something.

my s.o and i just started 10s and they hit really hard. we started at 590 doing them and the recommended ilvl for 10s and 11s is no joke.

I do all of mine in a full group because soloing as a rogue is miserable.
God I can’t even imagine. I’ve been working through them on my Lock (going to do my 8 when I get home) and I wouldn’t dream of even attempting one that high on my Rogue.
Learned very quickly that this toon struggles and you have to be very technical to beat enemies, let alone delves, as a rogue. T4 delves are a nightmare if you don’t have a system that is tried and true. So now I am leveling two toons, Shaman and Evoker, and finding them a lot more comfortable to face enemies.
Congrats to the OP. I wish there were more like you with the excitement. To many doom and gloom people. Need more of you.

I greatly enjoy delves. i started doing 8’s for the gear recently on my 585 mage and last night i just alt f4’d out of the one i was trying cause of how hard casters hit for. every pull had 2 casters, 2 archers. casters hitting for 1m plus. 1 caster you have to focus on due to he shields the entire group so aoe’n everything down is not possible.
but thats just that delve. they are fun and i continue to do them. my hunter i just cake walk through 9s. but mage is more involved and fun to me so thats what im focusing on for a while.

i think every delve enjoyer gets that little dopamine hit when they clear their first 8
i certainly did.
even moreso when you finish an 8 on a boss that you know is going to be tough, like in underkeep

I’ve only done a few 8s thus far, been focusing more on 7s because I’m only ilvl 599 so don’t want to push my luck too often, as I get a bit too stressed out when the boss takes away my lives, lol. I’ve been doing ok, and once I get up over 600 I’ll do more 8s. My vault was 610 hands this week, so I’m getting things I can still use/upgrade for the time being.
I can’t stand raids, both their length of time it takes to do them and sometimes the people, I don’t do mythic anything and don’t do a ton of dungeons in general(although I do plan to do more follower dungeons soon). The pacing of delves is right up my alley, so it’s really just a matter of figuring out mechanics so I don’t die. I’m enjoying them.

Grats , I am getting hurt in tier 4s with explorer armor, but it’s pretty great getting adventurer gear for the bountifuls and I feel like I am accomplishing something,
Only issue we had was with the revolving candle flames in whasissfaces rest delve. I think it could simply be our machines aren’t 16 gig ram and we are lagging slightly. The candle flames burned us even when they were 90 degrees away from us when we tried to grab the quest item candles and cost us our spare lives.

Use a pet let it tank and set Brann for heal .

It’s exhilarating to hit that wall in 8 then you overcome it being able to break through that hurdle yourself is an incredible experience.

i ran into this once as well. i dont think its you or your machines. one of my runs no matter what i did i couldnt dodge the flames. they could be pointed away and i still got hit.
That is animal abuse! But for real I play lonewolf and thats my hunters theme.
Hopefully I won’t have to switch BM and can clear the secret delves without a pet!
for zekvir, your pet really doesnt help. he pretty much 2 shots pets, even spamming heals. at least thats been my issue.
if i put brann on tank dutie, i do better, but the issue really is having enough dps as bm to burn the spider egg.
