If this happened in Discord and you didn’t deliberately delete the conversation, you could actually screenshot the conversation, give his btag/character info if you have it, and open a ticket to make them aware of his threats. They can’t police what happens on discord, but if it looks to them like he IS, in fact, reporting, then it will give them more evidence.
Worse that could happen is it’s not him and you move forward figuring out wtf happened to get you the warning. 
I guess it’s your guild, but honestly from reading your post I think more people rather play and associate with him rather than yourself. Sounds like he dodged a bullet, and I am sure will have no problem finding another guild. Listening to you tho, sounds like your probably gonna have a hard time retaining players with your attitude towards others…. Just my 2 cents
I would argue the OP is the toxic one. Using derogatory terms eg. “weedhead” , making negative comments regarding the players lifestyle etc. sounds holier than tho to me……I would imagine the reason he is taking applications is he has high turnover due to arrogance driving players away

i don’t think you are in the wrong here, you ask him to focus more because this is something you and the rest of the team want and if he is not willing to put the effort then youy guys don’t need to put up with hisbad behaviour.
it is ok to smoke weed if you want too however when your doing a team event you need to think about your team mates and not your needs to get high, anyone can do that when they are playing on their own.
if he feels offended then that is his problem becuase you ask him to help the team out not indulge himselfs on his self needs for weeds.
the same can be said about drinking or even about eating, if your going to be distracted outside of the team game play then don’t play the team game because this is a mmo it is not just your time that you’re wasting it is everyones time while their are playing in a competative play time.
in sport do you think a team would tolorate a player only focus on getting drunk or high and messing up their game play?? no they don’t.

No, when we were doing Mythic raiding the most annoying thing was the constantly drunk people who showed up ruining our progression. Drink on your own time, raiding is not “your own time” when a full group depends on you to be alert and functional.
That is where you messed up. All that needed to be said was “NO” and it ends there.
