I definitely finally realize why everyone is quitting M+

I’m not running my own key at one less level than I’m currently running because someone else ruined my key.

Doesn’t matter, I run as a trio with me healing, a tank, and a dps. I get plenty of groups. The point is this community has gone to hell in a hand basket… or so they say.

No, it really hasn’t. Keys fail, you just go again. It’s as it always was.

In every season, it’s like this.

I really don’t like the tank changes they made. Why can’t we go back to tanks being able to sustain themselves. I feel like with how much damage tanks take these days I’d hardly call them a tank and more like a sub par DPS that can taunt

Because tanks being immortal is bad game design. If immortality is desired, I say we give it to everyone.

even in 12s tanks are still not the weakest link they still dont die

Tank damage intake is more predictable now vs the past where they’re much more in charge of their own survival.

Now, for tank to die, usually it’s a healer misplay.

Exception : blood dk, they’re still kinda dead of their own play.

That’s because the healer is pumping heals into them. Why should tanks have to depend on someone else to fulfill their role. Other MMO’s have it right.

Buff DPS trinkets for tanks, give them more damage, and make them tanky again. Let’s get these long waits for a tank out of the game

Tanks are there to take damage, not heal it up.

Delete tanks by giving everyone tank survivability and healing.

Now, no one needs a tank or healer, queue problem solved.

Disagree, or I wouldn’t have said what I said. M+ has gotten progressively worse. Players can’t execute, the toxicity has increased, and people are joining groups they do not belong in. Way worse than ever before.

M+ is less popular this time around because more responsibility has been shifted from the tank, to the dps players, whom have largely been unable to adjust and thus not stepped up as Ion intended them to.

Related to what I said above: the current mentality of tanking is part of why no one wants to tank. The upper limit of what you can do is much lower than other roles now (especially in pvp).

No one wants to play a role where all you do is take punishment from everyone else without any kind of reward.

That’s your opinion. Tank to me is someone that specializes in taking hits and staying alive while protecting others. I’m not asking for immortal tanks. Too many times I go to heal tanks and even through full rows of hots rolling they still die. Thats not tanky. You especially notice it on lower geared tanks where the damage they take isn’t even healable.

I go to take a drink of water from being oom and within a second of a pull the tank is already almost dead. Was never like this in the past seasons

You are.

Because tanks still need to push buttons.

Could go back to the days of tanks NOT having active mit, and the world is way less threatening as a result.

Yes I would rather do that then sit and wait for a tank for 30 minutes

But tanks were always “rare” either that or healers.

Haven’t had to wait for a tank for 30 mins for anything yet.

And you really want to go back to when tanking was so less involved…

Like a burning crusade prot paladin.

Whole reason this season is bad is because of the tank nerfs they did going into the expansion. Imagine how much that would take off healer’s shoulders if the tank didn’t need baby sat the entire dungeon

Why would healers heal if they didn’t want to.

Sounds just as effective as nerfing healing requirements by say…50% or you know, go down 10 key levels.

Could also play heroic dungeons, where tanks are gods.

I’m doing 800k hps in 2’s because people don’t kick and the tank is undergeared. I think healers won’t mind less on their plate

That’s your fault for being in a +2 instead of a +10 where HPS is kinda similar in some dungeons,

Difference between low and high key is the ability to brute force through everything but because things can be bruteforced, that’s… usually what you end up doing.

Aren’t you the one asking for ability to heal through stuff in the past?

Stop projecting. It’s simple. It’s fun for people like me.

In terms of rating, I usually end up in the 1600-1800 range, but I’m not sure I’ll even get half that anymore, unless something changes with the way gear is rewarded. I can do a +4, and end up with an iLevel 610 reward in the weekly vault. Or I can join 2 delve runs for Tier 8, which are significantly easier and also take less time, and the weekly reward is iLevel 616.
