I think i’ve figured out what the problem is being in the same boat. Most of the posts describing a loss of love for wow come a few months after the 8.0 patch release.
Personally i believe the problem comes down the the GCD combined with pruning. This combined with mob and M+ scaling makes playing anything in a the game a strait DRAG! No matter what i’m doing, it sucks.
Legion was all about power and dominating M+ the farther you got into the game. i was exited to get alts in and go ham with their abilities. Now i have to take 3gcs to get my power up, then start rotations …ugh, every mob fight feels super slow and boring.
UN-pruning classes is NOT going to work in Shadowlands if the GCD remain. They wanted to make it easier for people but most of us have been playing for years, learning to make macros was part of the fun or even simply spamming everything to get a huge dps burst.
This said, the best way i can describe playing any class in wow today is … UGH.
