Blood Elves are getting blue eyes because they are High Elves.
They are legit the same group of people that defended quel’thalas all those years ago.
Not even a later generation, Elves live a long time. They’re the SAME people.
The Alliance wanted a Horde race to be on the Alliance.
What they should’ve been asking for is the lessen the faction Divide. Since then they could play as any race they want, and still play with primarily alliance players.

I mean, you guys have been playing for up to 15 years without high elves right?
I know people reach their breakpoints eventually and you have obviously reached yours.
But it’s not like Blizzard has promised it or made any inclination that they would ever give us high elves, so I’m not sure why people believe we are being aggrieved.

The “Blood Elf” models with blue eyes have been in the files for years… wowhead posts are not really accurate until they are really added to the customization options in game.
Devs announced that blood elves were going to get blue eyes a day or two ago. Blood Elves are getting blue eyes as an option because they ARE High Elves is what they said.
Again they said Alliance is not going to get to play Blood Elves as an Alliance race. They are not going to get to play Blood Elves as an Alliance race and call it “High Elves”.
Every time they say this we see delusional threads looking for reasons why they might anyway.
Give it up. A blue will not come here to repeat info that has already been published on wowhead news.

No the Anti-H.Elf crowd is simply imploring for you to look at reason, at what Blizzard has written; and then accept it rather than holding a 14 year long emotionally fueled rage-fest about a race that will likely never be playable.
I’m not even against High Elves, but the fact is the lore gives good reasons they aren’t playable.

They already gave a Horde race to the Alliance. So your arguments are a little lacking there.
But anyway, that has nothing to do with the request for High Elves. Blood Elves are not High Elves just as Void Elves are not Blood Elves, and nothing’s been officially confirmed, so we’ll see.
This is not a war either, try not to be so bossy with your comments. You’re not a dev.

clearly you NEVER read the lore did you? blood elves are high elves that were treated as second class citizens simply based on their standings in their society and they took their name as a tribute to their fallen after the war in SMC with the lich king which resulted in the death of Sylvanas

The devs have already said everything they needed to say. They’re in charge. It is not my obligation to coddle you to save you from hurt feefees when you continue to refuse to accept reality.
Repeating the same “arguments” that didn’t work before is not going to get you anywhere this time either.
