I Buy Boosts and Am Not Ashamed

People play with Cheat Codes if they are in the game too.

You can already get 233 completely solo (higher than normal raiding, save last 2 bosses). If you want higher, there’s so many possible issues.

Is it too long, people complain?
Is it too difficult, people complain?
Is it too short and/or too easy, raiding scene goes kapoot, people complain?

Gold has proven to be a much faster way, Korthia is fun. Having ONLY Korthia alone is not fun.

i remember many times selling keys and the buyer was top dps

plenty of good players buy group content because they dont have any bros

no shame in that

Irrelevant to what I was answring to.

There’s a lot of shame in THAT. Why buy if you’re gonna try hard anyway?

Buying friends is weird tho.

People like to buy guarantees. Why spend countless hours bashing heads into walls with pugs when you can just drop a bit of gold and be guaranteed something? Way less stressful and way less time consuming.

This whole boosting thing is corrupted by tokens anyway. The existence of the token raised the price so much that casuals feel like they have to buy token to get a carry, it’s a vicious cycle. Then again, the token raised the price of everything, the auction house goblins saw to it.

Casuals can casually pick flowers and sell them on the AH to make a steady gold income if they want. Nothing’s stopping anyone from doing that.

Yea , its a system that feeds itself. Booster buy boost probably more than anyone else. The money cycles with-in with the occasional external boostee who don’t boost anyone else.

Booster boosting their alts with their boosting money.

And why are flowers so damn expensive? Oh yeah, because goblins corrupted the auction house because tokens exist.

Oh and they curbed multibox. That didn’t help.

I mean he’s not wrong, it does.

With that said, it’s a video game. If you’re losing sleep over the “integrity” of an online game you need to go touch some grass.

Secondly, even if you do take it super seriously, any shred of integrity this game had has been lost long ago when the OG Blizz devs left, so does it really matter if boosting is a thing, can’t go lower than rock bottom. :man_shrugging:

no, he is. if you took a guildy who wasnt that good, but the rest of you could carry him, does that ruin the integrity of a game? id say the exact opposite, thats the true nature of social games, helping people out. its the same thing, just getting some compensation for it.

now if its real money, ok thats different and should be banned, but someone has gold, doesnt have a guild… there is no integrity lost there at all.

and yeah, the devs dont respect the game or the players anymore, so what integrity is left?

btw i dont boost either, i just dont care enough. but i will admit i bought a carry to get the mount at the end of BfA, cuz i wanted it and i had gold, and people were willing to let me come along for a fee. and i ride that mount and i dont give a rats behind if anyone cares how i got it.

I can see the argument for pve because it’s not competitive- buying an aotc mount doesn’t take away someone else’s aotc mount

Pvp absolutely not. Every undeserved win you couldn’t have gotten without paying two rank ones to carry you in is taking away rating and progression from legitimate players and that’s not okay

There’s also the issue of locking gear behind rating walls that for a lot of players are just not achievable easily. Buying 2100 rating to get 259 gear that 1600 players cannot obtain themselves and then using that gear advantage to make their uphill battle even harder is also horrible design

This is exasperated by the fact that the guy who buys 2100 gets his gear then drops back down to his actual skill level rating and instantly has a massive advantage over his peers. This player has swiped their credit card to gain an advantage in a PvP encounter, that is not good for the health of the game. Or the integrity of the game if you want to word it that way.

But yeah can agree with the PvE boosting. Who cares if a couple casuals get AOTC who wouldn’t have. PvE isn’t a zero sum game like PvP is.

Exactly this

It’s unfortunately entirely on blizzard’s shoulders for enabling this though

pvp is in such a trash state, i dont even count that. i get it tho, pvp was my end game for a long time, so i get what youre saying, but same time its also been abused horribly with fotm classes or comps that could just beat just about everyone. so i dont see it as losing integrity either…

to add onto the gear thing, the fact they have you use honor to upgrade conquest gear was such a horrible idea… you have overgeared players running around stomping on ungeared players in random BG’s and just getting stronger from that… so yeah, sorry blizz screwed this up horribly, and i gotta stay, i just dont care anymore… but i do see your argument.
