I am still right about the Mage Tower

I couldnt agree anymore with you. It does need tuning. I am half tempted to unsub. Not because of the MT but because Ive been bored with Shadowlads and to me i never like the expansion from the get go. MT should be nerfed to Legion mythic raid. There are very few that has completed it… To me what should be a challenge is add the WoD Transmog weapons back and let players challenge sosloi mythic WoD dungeons for Mogs

Legion Mythic raid mode. at least everyone will beat the challenge. The game is not fun if others cant beat it

To me the whole thing needs a nerf to Legion raid Mythic. All my toons on Agatha cant even budge her Health

legion
6450732/ 64063512 = 0.1 hand to raest

53553052/64063512 =0.84 karam to raest

shadowland

6075 / 161100 = 0.04 hand to raest
49900 / 161100 = 0.3 karam to raest.

According to my math, shadowlands encounters are pure nerfs of legions.

Look, in shadow lands karam has 30% of raest health, when in legion karam had 84% of raest health. thats about a 40% nerf to karams health.

and in shadowlands the hands have 4 percent of raest health. when in legion the hands have 10% of raests health. Thats about a 40$ nerf to karams health.

Seems like the encounter is 40% easier.

I just took the same numbers and got different results.

Lots of emotions in here. I went through similar ones too - Me: “It’s rNg, I’m a legit bad player now, I can’t believe I have to buy consumables that are so overpriced!” ect.

When you figure out your mistakes and work through this - it is so rewarding to beat it. It feels really awesome. Now, I haven’t done all of them so I’m not sure if some encounters are still possibly over tuned. But, it’s supposed to be a challenge. It was back in the day. Ppl acting like we licked our keyboards for a win in legion - no.

Watch guides, ask questions and don’t give up.

the million things going on is something getting used to but it can be manageable if you keep on top of things.

the eyes take damage from moonfire, sunfire etc. not physical damage.

you only need to look at them if the beam is going to finish before they die. otherwise they are not doing anything.

the infernal cast their knock back ability ~ every 5 second. you need only side step or out range it. the actual knock hit box is small.

the aura of decay is best seen as a tank swap mechanic. you want to get out of there with no more than 5 stacks.

you can cleave the horrors down with thrash and swipe swipe swipe.
always interrupt inquisitor’s drain life.

when you are not in the aura of decay, regrowth if you are low.
then maintain dots >Starsurge> wrath. for the most part, forget about starfire once heart of the wild is down. the idea is to always be doing damage as quickly as possible because the adds will not let you stand still for long.

DPS trinkets can help shrink the damage check windows

using barksin with brambles talent will add extra aoe damage. useful for adding extra damage to the nether horrors and even the boss if you fight them on top.

if timing allows, an incap interrupt will stop a drain life along with the nether horrors

a lot of it comes down to practice.

the real issue (in p2) has been more or less dealt with (imo) and that is the hp nerf which keeps the damage check at a more sane level.

Something that occurred to me over the past few days are people having easier victories than others even given the same spec.

The problem is the scaling ultimately hurts some gear builds more than others. Well, let’s say we are all scaled to ilvl50 so it shouldn’t matter right? Well the stat distribution makes it matter. Sockets make it matter.

I can see people on the same spec and challenge as me having 500-600 more life than I do. I also see them doing 3 times the damage I can do. That’s gear disparity not skill. You don’t skill more life out of the game and not all trinkets are equal at 50.

Not that I’m saying anything should be fully equitable. I’m just saying to those struggling don’t get trolled by people who’ve beaten it. Get the most out of your gear before grinding your patience down to zero.

in terms of gear, a full set of pvp gear and korthia sockets works just fine.

then for “time walking gear” your artifact weapon works well.

enchants do help. like in all content.

consumables also help just like all challenging content.

trinket effect offer specialized tools for what you want to do. any challenging content will be easier with better trinket choices

not using it makes it harder and using it bridges the “skill gap”

as for the hp thing. armor kits *which add stamina can have in impact. and yes, some classes have stat passives that grant more hp. like Guardian Druid’s Mastery for example. more mastery = more hp.

Verse gear is consistent and reliable. Crit gear can do better but leaves things to rng

part of any skilled challenge is also (imo) selecting what stats you choose in your preparation. preparation is a skill. especially in a rpg

and given that it is time walking with gear scaling it is well within reason to be able to hand pick your desired stats. (granted scalpers have been price hiking everything to the moon) but you still have access to multiple gear vendors where you can easily collect the stats you want.

I’m aware. I’m just telling you I see destro locks who did the challenge under 50 tries and others like me who logged 80+ who haven’t beaten it yet. When I look closer I see they simply have better gear.

Not that there is anything wrong here. I’m just pointing out it’s not skill but gear. People may be deceived in thinking the scaling eliminates gear disparities but it doesn’t.

No, it’s because the damage of Unblinking Gaze is what helps Bear push through before that 4th annihilate still.

Kruul still has a bit too much health for Bears.

Now you’re literally just trolling. That’s a massive red flag.

Ah yes, it’s simply “better gear” and definitely not a skill gap. Having a timewalking set helps, but it isn’t required to complete the challenge. If you think that’s the only thing holding you back, you’re in for a rude awakening.

i never used unblinking gaze.

you can survive 4 annihilates. I did.

Umm no. if the other tank challenges are easier, they should be made harder. Just because you don’t like an idea doesn’t mean its just someone trolling.

I’ve watched locks beat Tugar eating multiple fel bursts to the face.

Again if the difference is 600 health I can assure you that is the difference between living and dying when you get hit.

I’ll just flag and move on. This is literal just trolling and incensing people at this point.

its sad that you can’t even respond properly and resort to calling anything you don’t like trolling.

you said it yourself, the challenges aren’t even. as many have put it, the pally one is downright easy. why should it be easy as a challenge.

Dude, there’s no getting through to you. You just want to flex and boast and pretend it’s fine.

You have been multiple examples and everything has been explained already. At this point, you’re just being a contrarian in order to piss off others.

That’s literally what trolling is : posting just to incite argument. Last response.

I tanked 4 annihilates and didn’t use unblinking gaze, I had another charge of wall + another orb leftover too.

My kill was 5:18, people with full tryhard chromie time gear can get 3 minute kills. It’s perfectly doable in regular SL gear.

If you’re only getting to 60% in phase one you’re just not managing any aspect of the encounter. I don’t mean that as an insult either, I just mean you’re likely doing a lot of things wrong. Things ramp up as the phase goes on, but the first half of that fight isn’t chaotic so try focusing on what’s killing you most and practice that.

You can get out of phase 1 with no consumables at all so keep practicing without wasting resources until you get it sorted out.

They just need to fix the scaling system Ive explained before but heres the situation.
220 ilvl piece str stat 60 mt scaling reads str stat is 6
ilvl 60 str stat 35 mt reads str stat -0.0035 doesnt compute loops around str stat is now 75
The lower the ilvl you are the easier it gets but your basically walking on knife edge one chant or gem can rebreak that piece and flip the stats into neg.
It’s literally the same as what you can do in skyrim to make super enchants/potions/armor except its in a content instance.
Anyone currious about this just go over yt watch spiffing brits skyrim vids where he breaks the game.

Lol, no. there are not multiple examples. most people just claim. “I can’t do it, so its overtuned”
a few claim “I did it, but it was still hard, and that means its overtuned”

The one shaman maybe not even in this thread explained how one mechanic was unable to be interrupted or purged if casts lined up together. So that was one example of something not working right.

Nearly every explanation boils down to. “look how mad people are, they must be right”

This clearly seems like projecting. Why is it you disregard my experience, and the experience purplelime. and the others who have stated, and demonstrated that it is extremely doable, and just takes practice.

The video of a bear in shadowlands with no consumables. why disregard that.

Seems despite our proof, you just want to be contrarian.
And trying to gleen my motivations from your own personal bias is laughable.

I want people to complete the challenge. Which is why im constantly giving tips to those who seem like they are actually still motivated.

But of course, all you must do is deem someone a troll, then you’re free from actually addressing their points. its a good tactic for avoiding opinions that aren’t your own.

can you show this? because all the gear ive used has scaled properly.
