In all honestly I didn't feel a thing when I heard about any of the changes including Diablo.
then why do you play Blizzard games?

You felt all that over a video game? Perhaps you need a new hobby that doesn't provoke any emotions like that.
Strange how when people invest a large portion of their time into a hobby, they begin feeling emotional about it. Strange how when the Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA finals in 2016, LeBron was crying on national TV because something he devoted his entire life to finally paid off, and the entire state of Ohio rejoiced. Similarly, players who care deeply about Blizzard's IPs would feel shocked and appalled that the game they once loved has been reduced to a cash grab phone app, or that the story for WoW has been completely rehashed and done before.

Plainly, just grow up.
"I don't understand why people feel feelings, therefore they are wrong and I am right"
I do not feel any of those things either. I also do not think Blizzard is dead. I just know that the WoW devs are going to do what they are going to do hell or high water and I have to either accept that or move on. And for now I accept that.
I won't say blizzard is dead but I will say that I don't play any activision games and when blizzard becomes more activision than blizzard I won't be playing those games either.
There is not a single activision title that I think is worth playing. I like Blizzard but only when they are blizzard and producing blizzard quality.
I hope Blizzard will survive activision.

Blizzard is dead.
You can be more dramatic than that!
Here, hold this skull in your hand while you type.
Now! With more flare!
Where's the Shakespearean dramatics? The art of the spoken word? This level of drama can only truly be expressed through rhyme!
Think VERY hard about it. What is considering to be the absolute peak of World of Warcraft? Which expansion? Wrath.
Wrath was the last full true Blizzard product, and it was as Blizzard products always were up until 2008, GOLD. Pure GOLD.
Wrath turned wow into the game it is today if you hate modern wow you should hate wrath. Wrath is when growth stalled wrath say growth only in the quarter before cata came out that wasn't wrath bring good that was people coming back to clear content before cata. The only thing that saved wrath was the fact people from warcraft 3 kept coming to the game because of arthus and they brought in their friends.
It's funny considering how much hate wrath got from the hardcore crowd and how they considered it the true death of wow.
Wrath? Please.

It was. It was the beginning of the end. I remember hating the start of Wrath. Ulduar and ICC were awesome raids, but the truth is that the decisions made in Wrath started the destruction of WoW. They literally copy pasted a raid ffs, and the heroics were a total joke. That being said, at least Wrath still felt like an authentic Blizzard product -- probably because most of it was made before the merger.
I am not mad.
I am not disappointed.
I do not feel betrayed.
I am not confused.
For a while now, up until yesterday I felt these things. What is Blizzard doing? Why are they doing this? WHAT HAPPENED?
It took me too long to realize.
Blizzard is dead. They died when Activision "acquired" them. (bought, partnered, whatever you want to call it.) When money started being the goal, the Blizzard seal of quality crumbled into dust, the dreams and aspirations of it's Founders was shattered.
Blizzard isn't pumping out copy and paste content with fresh art attached, they would never do that. Activision is.

Everything after Wrath was a slowly smoldering dumpster fire.
tl;dr -
Wrath came out in 2008
Activision bought Blizzard in 2008
Everything Blizzard since then has been money grab.
in a metaphoric way, OP is correct. WoW has been dead a while. we're just beating the corpse. the lead developer trolls his customers, and the development team strives for mediocrity. a lot of us are still playing for what WoW was, not for what it is. this is the new blizzard:
get good ™
weeks not months™
you think you do, but you don't™
do you guys not have phones™
I wouldn't say Bliz is dead but it's hard to deny that partnership changed them.. They definitely shifted their focus to crunching numbers and maximizing revenue instead of focusing on innovation, balance, design and creativity.
For example, even though I'm super excited to play WC3 reforged, I'd of course much rather of had WC4 because WC3 isn't new content even if it is remastered.. I'm sure i'll put some hours into it and i'll probably pre order it but hopefully the reforge will lead to WC4......

Meh. Wrath was no where near as good as Mists of Pandaria was, and that came out several years later.
That is your opinion, but my take on MoP was the killing of class identity... The only moderately good thing about it to me at least was the original talent system because it was pretty overpowered, and gave everyone some huge health regens on every class, but this "MUST PICK" build that took over the talent system ended up killing class identity even more... I just genuinely liked the older game better, but every player has their preference on what they really like and want, and that is what it is.

You seriously are clueless. Please know facts before spewing nonsense. Activision never bought Blizzard PERIOD. And you even mentioned "partnered". Partnered and Bought Out aren't even the same thing. Good lord, what is happening to our education system.
Just a brief history lesson for you, Activision AND Blizzard were bought out by Vevendi. Later, Activision AND Blizzard both bought themselves out. They kept the Activision Blizzard name. Activision and Blizzard are THEIR OWN publishing companies. Blizzard makes their own games and own their own rights to their intellectual property (meaning if Blizzard wanted to be solo they would own all of their games) and Activision the same but they use other gaming developers to make their games. Hence the other logos besides Activision on D2 and CoD. Notice how there is NO LOGO of Activision on any of Blizzard games in the launcher?
In conclusion, Activision has ZERO say in any of Blizzard's games, what they need to do, etc. If Activision "bought them out" then their logo would be on the games as well and they would actually have a say.
So please, don't post BS about things you have no clue about.
I knew it was only a matter of (likely short) time before you would show up. (you being, the guy that points this info out, not literally you.)
So I will clarify.
I find it very odd that when Blizzard began to associate with Activision that things started to go downhill. You mean to tell me that Activision had absolutely no influence on Blizzard ... AT ALL? Then literally why team up? To what end?

Many years ago when I was just a wee lad, my grandfather heard news that a certain make and model of car he was fond of was to be cancelled in its manufactoring. Building and rebuilding cars was his hobby he loved so dearly. I am willing to bet you consider his enmity of this news to be worthy of being upset , don't you? Why is a video game based hobby viewed as lesser?
A well made well established thing I like suddenly becomes something I rather dislike and this upsets me, should I just throw my hands up and not care?
then why do you play Blizzard games?
They are fun. I don't invest that much into a game.

Here is the thing with WOW or any other MMO. You have to be ready to accept change. I may not like the changes but I don't allow them to get my upset. If its no longer fun. I move on. Infact. I've been playing closed beta for Fallout 76 for a while now. Its incredible even in its buggy state.
I think I have a polished skull from fishing in the stormwind canals in my bags, want that?
im happy you got it all out now
1 Temper's the one thing you can't get rid of, by losing it.

As of now, yes. Between WOTLK and WoD, they were Activisions puppets. The master has sacrificed his puppets..... the end is nigh!
