I am a level 20 Alliance character. How do I get to Zandalar?

You don’t. You roll up a Horde character and select BfA in Chromie Time.

But maybe you’re solving the wrong problem. What makes you think an Alliance character needs to go to Zandalar?

I think the quests are from the guy in the boat at Boralus. The questline has something to do with a foothold iirc.

I presume you are on Starter Edition, haven’t paid for Game Time yet, and therefore won’t level beyond 20?

Alliance characters cannot go to Zandalar directly; you have to go to Kul Tiras and progress through the War Campaign there until you are sent on the Ship to establish Alliance Footholds in Zandalar. Once you have completed one Foothold, you can take the Ship back to Zndalar from Boralus anytime you like.

I don’t think you can complete the whole War Campaign at 20, but justto get there,any Foothold will be enough.

Go to Chromie, under the tree in front of Stormwind Embassy beside Stormwind Lake (it’s on your map)

Tell her you want to go to Battle for Azeroth. She will send you on a questlinethat brings you to Boralus, in Kul Tiras. As you work through the beginnings of thequestline - the War Campaign - you will eventually be sent on a mission to your first Goothold on Zandalar.

There is a choice of three, but any Foothold will do for your purpose. Once there, you can fly around the island.
