Again, a lot of times these days it is referring to a mentality of enjoying rougher living activities like camping, fishing, hunting as well as being able to do for yourself working on a car, refrigerator, A/C unit, having a beer instead of being a wine snob, etc. So, yes a person who is white collar will sometimes be referred to as being a true redneck, when what they actually mean is that they are not soft and pampered.

Although, yes, it can still be an insult. But Trailer Trash has pretty much replaced it. That or Gutter Trash, for the city.

Well that’s because many girls are finding the word ‘chick’ offensive these days, a lot of women are finding being referred to as a ‘chick’ or a ‘bird’ or a ‘missus’ as downgrading.

I was lucky to have “redneck” grandparents. I live in the city proper now and I hate it so much. These people call trees “green space”. It’s the most alienating bugman stuff ever.

Although, I have to admit that these days if someone uses the phrase “I couldn’t care less” correctly they’ll get a like no matter what the statement was. I will post a note that that is why they are getting it though. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Sounds nerdy, but people who have shown empathy to me about the Teldrassil thing have helped me a lot too. Turns out losing a fictional place you’ve grown attached to over 14 years hurts a lot.
