But not for me. I actually really, really don’t care about high elves, like, at all. I love blood elves, to be clear, and when I was a kid I liked high elves more, but. As a blood elf fan now I kinda want high elves just so the people who won’t shut up about high elves can go do their thing and the real blood elf fans can be smug about being the true Thalassian elves.

There is no such thing as a separate “High Elf” race. All Thalassian elves are High Elves. They are the descendants of the Highborne exiled by Malfurion Stormrage.
A Blood Elf wearing blue doesn’t magically become a different race.

This is true, but it doesn’t stop high elf fans from begging for them, and they are on opposing factions for obvious reasons. They are still different even if they’re the same race. Kul Tirans are the same race as humans.

Maybe I’m unreasonably hopeful 
Personally I’m just so sick of hearing about it that I’m like can we just do it and get it over with. I mean like that other person said blood elves are high elves and really, I kind of feel somewhere deep down that if high elves were added I would know people playing them aren’t really true fans of WC high elves or else they’d be blood elves. So they’d get what they want and blood elf fans can roll our eyes at them.

True High Elf fans never asked for Silvermoon. Silverglade Refuge is a welcome addition, but the Blood Elf capital being accessible to the Quel’dorei is a bit overwhelming

This is true, but honestly I kind of want to see what would happen if they were actually given what they wanted? High elfers have always been given denials and half-compromises but never what they actually asked for. Maybe I’m naive but I like to think if they got what they actually wanted we could finally move on and stop hearing about it.

Probably. I don’t play either race. Give the people as much elfslop as they desire as far as I’m concerned, but if we’re adding a new race it needs to bring something new to table.
