I’m becoming a tourist

Damn that’s crazy, I didn’t read any of it tho

This is week 4, there’s a whole season left. Also, people will naturally gear up even if you just keep doing easy SBGs every week, then you will get more than enough gear in time to cover that 200 points without even trying. Just be patient with yourself.

okay… and if those 7 players -had- gotten all their tier pieces, and all their BIS loot within the first 5 weeks, you think they would still be playing?

If you don’t give me everything I want in the first month so I can quit, I am going to quit!

I am one of the people who has done the raid since release even as far as doing LFR because I still only have 1pc of tier and for BM hunters that is a huge handicap. I have seen a tier token drop for my class exactly one time and I lost the roll to a hunter who then peaced out from my guild. The single piece I acquired was through the vault…

Every week that passes where I don’t even get a chance at a tier token let alone win the roll is def starting to effect my mood towards playing. I guess I wouldn’t be so annoyed about it if they hadn’t made tier basically a requirement to make BM feel smooth and competitive.

In the RTS games maybe. The MMO has always been a moneymaker, and they knew it and developed it as such.

They have lost a great deal of their player base because they moved from focusing on player experience to focusing solely on the bottom-line. And it is not serving them well. Why do you think they offered a free month sub if you gifted DF or if you bought DF (after pre-purchase). Why do you think they came out with a year sub. incentive. Why do you think they chose to bring back old mounts to sell? It is because their model is not sustaining itself and the revenue can they’ve been kicking from quarter to quarter is getting more difficult to kick.

They keep trying to figure out ways to keep the revenues coming in, and the sad fact is that the answer is sitting there staring them in the face… provide a great player experience and players will play their game. Sadly, it is going to be a very hard sell for those who chose not to return for DF (and there are a lot) because Blizzard has lost their trust.

Does this mean it is the end of WoW? No, it will continue on, but not as the game people came to love.

Im tired seeing posts people thinking Blizz is their friend lol … Blizz is not your friend , its a gaming company , making games and making money

We had that in wrath and the smart ones rerolled alts, the lazy ones complained about how easy it was threatening to quit yada yada.
What did we get cause blizz listened? Cata which used to be the dumpsterfire of all expansions.

Wrath was easy? Ulduar and ICC were difficult raids.

See you same time next week!

It was face roll compared to the later expansions hell you could spam out 30k dps with 1 ability back then.
Ulduar swipe ferals and cleave warriors were the running joke insta cast no cd 30k dps.
Icc ret palies and hunters ran the show tier sets were best ever made.

Yeah, the expansion was so face roll Lich King is considered one of the hardest fights in the history of the game. What are you smoking?

Epic gear was easy to get and people thought they were pro because they had purples, could wreck heroic dungeons, and clear half a raid in a pug. Then came Cata and the same people cried because they had to CC in dungeons and wear blues. They only thought they were good because of colors on their gear lol

Most of the people that said Wotlk was easy back then probably didn’t clear Ulduar (especially heroic) and probably didn’t clear LK when they were current.

Lk wasnt that hard it was about as hard as Sylv fight tbh and it was the best of all expansions across the board had class balancing loot was acceptable in drop rates you knew you would get a piece with in a few weeks no this double lotto stuff.

The ones that complained about how easy it was came back or started when LK was basically on farm for even the most casual groups.
The running gag lvl 58 dk yeh those folks.

My real friends left before dragonflight was a thing. They knew better.

My other “friends” find the community feast the best thing ever. They think the community feast is a feature that will rival m+. I’m sure they’re right. When will we start getting good gear from the community feast?

All right, we’re basically in agreement. I was misreading you. I can’t speak on the Sylvanas fight, but I have vivid memories of folks in tournament gear bragging about clearing Ulduar and me reminding them they were in higher gear lol

And at one point, I think LK was so difficult they gave him a huge nerf and guilds still struggled. I know mine did. That’s what I loved about Wotlk, there was a solid mix of difficulty, easy to hard. You could pug some raids, but there were certain fights no pug, unless it severely outgeared the encounter, was going to clear. Hodir for example. Every pug I ran got to him before the tourney and crumbled because most folks were too lazy to get frost resist gear.

Hardest part of LK fight was the plague spread and later the phase shift getting off and on the ring at the right time compared to Sylv walk in the park.
But wrath was probably the most welcoming of all expansions as I said about 1 ability 30k dps spam you could bring anyone they could be clueless and still contribute.

We never got frost gear we used campfires and the bonfires once he collapsed the roof to take the fires out it was dps race to the kill.

The openness of Wotlk is probably why the game blew up. I mean, I cleared Naxx with an 88 year old dude in the raid that couldn’t do the safety dance to save his life, but so many people acted like they were the best in the world because they could mostly clear a raid.

Imo, the tourney came too soon and blew up all progression. That raid is by far the easiest of the main ones and completely threw a wrench in the works.

My guild at the time did that too, but we also had frost resist gear. The boss we struggled on was Mimi. Couldn’t clear him. I literally didn’t see the end of that raid until I had all ICC gear. And I don’t think I cleared it until Cata. Not even sure when I first saw Algalon.

Speed culture ruined a lot it. Then other esport mentalities made it worst. Only play the best class, only run this, 1 mistake and kick… it’s tough.
