Depends on the race and sometimes, gender. Imo, it goes like this:
Bow: all elves, both trolls, vulpera, draenei (female), and forsaken
Crossbow: humans, worgen, both tauren, pandaren
Gun: both dwarves, both gnomes, goblin, both orcs, draenei (male)
Polearm: orc, draenei, tauren
Firearms, it is the weapon that changed how wars were fought.
I find it interesting that in wow despite that fact rifles, tanks and aircraft exist, the frontline of the horde and alliance are still using shields and melee weapon.
depends on which hunter i’m playing, but most of the time i go with guns.

i think its more so a resource thing, Goblin tech is more so un-trust worthy because they are be definition, a double edged sword, ya you get a powerful weapon/tank/mech
but are always used too the Bare minimun resources by the goblins, to the point that you are basically using a weapon that can and will explode.
gnomes are known to have weird side effects, but are less likely then goblin, but the problem is, gnomes find manufacturing things that they already made, “Boring” and are constantly in a arms race to make more and exciting inventions.
even then, they overthink the issue, and tend to create issues for said weapons of war. leading to fix said issue again.
which is why we still use swords and arrows as a basic means to avoid dangerous machines.
plus its fun seeing a guy charge a robot with a hammer beat the heck out of it

I like them all, but they usually are too gaudy to use.
I dont want blunderbuss guns. Wolfslayer sniper rifle is still one of the best ever made guns, in my opinion, but kinda too big to see my hunters really use.
Most crossbows are smaller ballista rather than a crossbow.
I need more average joe weapons that are up to date in looks.
Don’t forget magic fireballs, chemical, biological and magical weapons of mass destruction.
I like bows because the guns sound like an air hose to a vacuum cleaner unclogging itself.

Bows, because they have an elegance to them, and guns don’t sound like guns for silly reasons.

Strictly bows because the guns sound like a stapler firing. Horrible change.
The pocket Crossbow, Stoneshatter…
Nothing else comes close…
Weird thing is my Rogue’s daggers sound like guns when using certain abilities.

Bows and occasionally crossbows if one would fit the mog better. Guns arent a good thematic fit for marksman or BM.
