To follow up on your research a bit…

Did some further testing on this tonight and after a few conversations with fellow hunters on my server, we did some digging…

It appears that this bug is only affecting BM Hunters that assign pet talent points 14-17.

So, if you are MM or Survival spec, you can safely talent your pet and it stays assigned on logout. However, when activating my BM secondary spec, and that “version” of my pet having 17 talent points assigned instead of 13 talent points assigned as MM or Surv, that pet’s talents were reset on log out and login.

Bumping this post, this is still an issue with pet talents resetting when I log, please fix Blizzard.

So it’s about the extra 4 talent points from Exotic Pets that bug it out right now. Now if they would only also fix the stupid issue of your pet missing health sometimes when you get off your flying mount.

Still a bug. Dino is dropping talents every time I log out. Yes, you can stable him and they stay when you pull him back, but then when you log out, they go away again.

I’ve tried multiple pets. Same problem. I’ve turned off all UI mods, same problem.

Fix the bug.

Came here to post the same thing. I’m Beast Master, have an exotic pet and the talents reset after every log out.

For now it’s a “feature” maybe play around with different talents…i suppose.

Nope it doesn’t work. You have to stable the pet or, as some others have said, just dismiss the it and they stick. Hopefully it’s hot fixed soon… … …

LOL, because programming is hard and fixing bugs isn’t a revenue stream don’t expect Activision to fix this anytime soon. :frowning:

Kind of begs the question why did this work over a decade ago and now doesn’t … and when are Activision going to hire some competent QA analysts … not the folks who do the testing but those who draw up the testing plan.

Still happening, I have set pet talents on every login.
Upside is I get try lots of combos, if it doesn’t work out => log out :stuck_out_tongue:
