Hunter/Lock Pet deaths should have long CD

How about no… Beastmaster Hunters and Demonology Warlocks are heavily reliant on their pets and need to be able to resummon them ASAP when they fall.

As for the argument about cast times… Hunters have a cast time on revive pet and dismiss pet, and have to dismiss or revive their fallen pet before they can even call a different pet. Warlocks don’t have to dismiss or revive their pet, they can simply call a new one and the other is dismissed automatically. The cast time on theirs is reflective of a hunter dismissing or reviving their previous pet.

The soulshard cost on Warlock summons however is annoyingly stupid.

Soulshards are so easy to come by and Warlocks now start with 3 when they login.

A cast time of currently what 3 sec?
That is nothing when fights last for several or 10+ mins.

Hunters/Locks should take better care of their pets and just continually sending them to fights nonstop is just ridiculous, especially when able to revive the pets nonstop.

There should be a heftier penalty for the pets dying.

A longer cooldown of 1 or 2 mins is more appropriate than a 3 sec cast time.

Those were fun times back when I used to do random BGs. The bad ones always ate the fear rather than shape shift out of it

To rez our pets is a dps loss. Hunters do try to keep their pets alive.

Let’s talk about the real issue which is probably you dying to a lock or Hunter in pvp. I’m sure you spent your cooldowns to murder a pet and was mortified to have it come back 3 seconds later.

Again we say why? Literally nobody wants this. This does nothing for the fantasy or balance besides hurt them.

Which don’t really regen mid-combat unless you cast certain spells. While you’re suffering from pushback/CC. Then you have a cast time on the summon, while you’re suffering from pushback/CC. By the time you get a pet out again you may have spent 10, 20 seconds not doing much but trying to get that pet going.

Considering a Demonology warlock does a good chunk of their damage (and damage mitigation) by way of pet they’re in serious trouble for quite a while. No real need for further penalties.

Sounds like a good idea for Druid forms as well. Also losing the ability to do pretty much everything while shapeshifted would be fair

I mean, ultimately, if you’re killing the pet instead of the summoner, you’re a mook and deserve to lose.

Id rather have a [do not target pet] check mark cause in battlegrounds if you have 10 BM hunters and 10 demonology locks blowing all their cds you cant tab target the one you are actually trying to kill.

I’d be in big trouble without my pet that I love so much a tear just formed in my eye considering his demise :crying_cat_face:

But my destro warlock would just blow you up with or without a pet. She don’t care.

A 2.5s cast time and a resource cost that can be interrupted AND leaves us completely vulnerable and unable to fight back.

That alone is a huge penalty, if you let a Warlock resummon his/her pet mid fight and they still beat you…well, not sure what else to say.

It would cripple the beast master hunter. It’s a bit too late to come and expect it to be nerfed.

I’m just going to assume this is PvP related in some way?

Sounds good. Also, need a 10 second cast bar for druid transformations.

After a hunter pet does the hunter should be forced to read where the red fern grows before having a good cry and getting another pet.

I’m an afflock, I don’t get multiple pets. My soul shards are incredibly hard to come by to the point that blizz laughs at afflock tears. Please stop this trolling unless you actually play one of those classes and know our pain.

First they need to fix the second boss in BfD where my pet is bugged out during the rings of peace phase. Lose quite a bit of time resummoning and standing in fire just to work on the barriers.
