The devs have literally stated SoD is not made to be competitive or cater to the top end speedrunning or parsing communities. You guys are literally a square peg trying to fit yourselves in a round hole here.
Play a different game.
EDIT: Seriously though, they’ve flat out stated they won’t add Rated PvP and are purposefully making the PvE raids a joke. I don’t get why any “Top 100 player” would be trying so hard at this game.

They’re not useless, they’re flavor of the month.
Melee hunter is still perfectly fine, my hunter is going Melee even with the nerfs because it’s an appealing playstyle.
If you’re chasing the FOTM in season of discovery, I don’t know what to tell you except “You’re going to be sad.” They’ve made no secret that they will be making changes rapidly. (Well, rapidly for blizzard.)
They’re not moving the goal posts, the gear is still the gear…

The complaint in the first place is bad faith.
Literally whining about the lack of class rank DPS stability in Season of Discovery…
It’s like going to McDonalds and complaining that it doesn’t have Tacos.
You want static Classic? Go Era.
You want dynamic Classic? Go SoD.
Don’t go to SoD looking for static.

It’s not about meters, it’s about knowing you could be doing better and not. Makes you a burden on the group if you actively choose something subpar.

The OP should realize that blizzard doesn’t balance this game around the top 100, much like they don’t balance around the bottom 100. Most people don’t care even about small imbalances, but melee hunter was an extreme outlier that needed a nerf.

The argument was being top of the meters. I don’t care about that at all. I care about being the best I can be, for what I’m playing. For example, I’ve never gone anything but aff in my life. I’ve always mained it, through every wow expac I’ve played. Sod is the exception cause aff is too far below what destro can do. I would be actively hurting the progress of the raid and wasting the time of my grp mates. Guess you are too selfish to understand respecting your group members time and effort.

lol okay “hey I bring the net same amount of damage with my buffs, only you guys get to parse harder. I also do mechanics so you don’t have to as much and another ranger reduces raid damage”.
Total burden to the group if you don’t realize it’s a team game and a damage meter is only part of the equation.

I’ve been an enhancement shaman DPS raider since SoD began, including when it was a pile of **** in P1. Was poo then, is doing better now, still an enhance shaman.

Yeah and I always do what I can to mitigate that. Your point? I’m not fixated on meters, I don’t care about parsing. I don’t log my raids at all.
I swear some of you are actively choosing not to listen , sticking your fingers in you ears going “la la la la, i can’t hear you” Then making up an argument to argue against.
