Why wouldn’t it? It’s a ferocity ability.
Here you go, I just checked the PTR.
Neat.
Tbh that just makes it easier to primal.
And as far as I am aware, pet spec doesn’t hinder damage like lone wolf did. So it would take nothing to swap pet specs to gain primal vs bringing out your pet and losing flat damage.
Not a dps loss, no. But we do lose the option of other utility. Sure in group situations it might not be as big a deal (although the mobility from cunning is always welcome), but in solo stuff like delves the tenacity and cunning abilities would be extremely useful. But then you have to give up lust. So yeah, it should have just been baseline for the class.
Kind of mixed feelings about giving pets the ability to swap freely between ferocity/tenacity/cunning. On one hand it’s objectivly better and more convenient.
On the other hand I went through the trouble to build a well rounded stable of pets that cover all types and match my hunters transmog and theme.
Then you shouldn’t have mixed feelings at all. Now you can have a goblin engineer bm hunter with 2 mechanical ferocity pets. This gives hunters way more options for customization.
You keep losing any credibility you had post by post.
You clearly dont realize lust isn’t the only pet utility that would need to be baseline.
Do you even play a hunter?
Based on current tuning it’s looking like BM and SV will be strong. I don’t have a link because it’s just discussions on the discord but it’s all subject to change. I’m not doubting BMs tier set gets nerfed because it’s like a 30% damage increase.
Indeed. Several. I even have my own thoughts on them. I don’t just reference what others are saying and predicting about them. You should try it.
They compromised about the pet, but they still didn’t really do anything stellar to the class. They probably backed off on other changes too without telling us because they’re wimps and they’re soft and they cave to their player base.
MM pets will continue to be a drag on the spec. Which is more painful given the fact survival was destroyed for no reason leaving only 2 to choose from from the only ranged physical class in the game. I have mained hunter since launch and I still make do but the changes coming don’t seem to really be enough to get where we need to be. Hopefully they continue to iterate and improve on non-pet reliance.
Then you’re inept at them. You don’t need a prediction to understand what I meant.
Which means you think the only utility hunters need is lust says a lot.
You haven’t actually read any of my posts, have you?
I have. Statement still stands.
You clearly haven’t read mine.
I gotta tell you, man. It’s not looking good for your reading comprehension skills. Because I didn’t say that. D+ at this stage. If you’d actually read the sentences after this one;
You’d get the context;
You really shouldn’t be talking about anyone else’s reading comprehension when you still ignore the fact that lust isn’t a hunters only utility. In fact in raids i never use a lust pet.
So I suggest you learn what masters call and roar of sac are or continue to be inept.
Oh you’re so close to getting what I’m saying. You might get that C- after all!
I like the BM changes. Being able to choose between two pets or one beefy pet will be nice. The Pack Leader changes will be interesting and, imo, sorely needed. I think PL is the weakest of the Hero Specs. They need to buff the Shell Cover, though. It’s super weak for a defensive.
MM, though… not in a great spot, imo. The fact Blizzard can’t just commit to pet or no pet really hampers the spec. I thought the initial no-pet build they had at the start of the PTR was fine… but with the backlash, they shoehorned the pet back in and it broke a bunch of stuff they have to scramble to fix now. MM is back to being in the same state before of not knowing what it’s suppose to be. Side note: going to miss Wailing Arrow.
I don’t play Survival, so no opinion.
EDIT: Oh yeah! We’ll be able to change Pet specs again. Almost forgot about that.
Looking forward to being able to put lust on any of my pets. And I prefer pack leader so overall changes look pretty good.
Only one thing matters. Needs more dps .
Mediocre hunters pretending they have a clue entertain me.
I see why you don’t post on your hunter.
For real. Despite my many grievances this is definitely an awesome change. Shockingly I find myself preferring BM above both others at the end of the day. Although I think they should change the animation for Bestial Wrath if you’ve chosen dark ranger. Make it a shadowy colour instead.
And actually, the fact they’ve also removed the owl from Sentinel’s lunar storm actually makes it feel far less night elf coded, and accessible to other races. Arcane magic isn’t inherently outside the hunter’s wheelhouse given we’ve had arcane shot forever. I feel like I’ll actually be able to enjoy it on my mechagnome hunter, with the idea that he’s wielding titan power.
