Hunter: All 3 specs are in bottom 5 for raiding

At least hybrids can swap roles. If you want to play your hybrid main, there’s usually a way to do it without gimping your raid. A pure DPS class with nothing but B-and C-tier options may as well reroll.

As you can see both have to make compromises.

Rerolling is an enormous compromise relative to having some offspec gear and nipping over to your covenant to update a soulbind. Not all players view their main as disposable. The FOMO crowd has probably already abandoned their hunters.

As hybrid you’re forced into a role you may not want to play.

Hunter has the second most parses of any dps class in mythic CN just looking at the last 2 weeks.

Because hunters are really good, and are the ideal mechanic handling class to go along with being ranged and still having good damage.

They also have an immunity which is always very helpful.

Welcome to the dh/ww/warrior club.

It’s ok. This is how blizzard keeps players. Highest player base means that if they nerf all viable specs of that class will cause a lot more people toreroll from said class and thus player retention.

Using mythic raiding as a benchmark is moronic. Yes use the tippy top of players to determine class viability. Never mind they will switch classes on a boss per boss basis. Never mind that they take every advantage they can which of course would skew the numbers.

The only dps break downs people should be looking at are normal/heroic raid and +10s. That is where pretty much 90% of us live in wow.

After I saw them releasing balancing patches every week I took a break. Tbh none of the other classes interest me. I don’t mind being lower dps I guess my issue was they nerfed core mechanics when the thing that was broken the whole time was borrowed power. Every expansion I play less and less ever since wod I would say(besides legion). Every mmo has balancing issues but none nearly as bad as wow. It’s so bad I’ve been playing Everquest not that it’s bad but at least you know what you’re getting.

And to be honest just like Everquest I think their main focus is time locked progression servers. Which blizzard hired Everquest director to be in charge of wows tlps.

This is the true April Fool’s joke.

What’s funny is hunter is still has the 2nd highest number of dps parses in mythic even since the changes.

Marksman the 3rd highest spec.

It’s a great class and spec for all sorts of reasons beyond just damage.

Like a mobile immunity for clearing traps/orbs and soaks.

The best class to handle mechanics because of high damage while moving.

Ranged.

Too many can’t think beyond a colored bar graph though.

There are plenty of other classes that can do mechanics just as well. Fire mages are amazing at mechanics with some pretty cool tricks same with DK’s both of them are crucial for many mythic raid fights and they don’t have to be bottom tier dps.

Not really a good metric to only look at the top 5%. I mean, even at 75 which I thing is a good spot they aren’t exactly much better but still.

Good.

Week is over and still at the bottom. Woot! Blizzard sure knows how to nerf a class to the ground while leaving overpowered classes to reign for months.

Even if all specs were within 5 dps of each other, someone would be bottom 8.
