If you fall behind on hunts, getting to rank 10 before the end of season 1 will be a real grind.
As opposed to 1000 rep from the weekly quest, each hunt after only gives 50 rep. In some sense, 20 hunts = 1 weekly hunt. You need 4 weekly hunts to rank up.
IF a hunt takes 5 minutes, and you need 80 to rank up, that is 6 hrs 40 minutes PER RANK you are behind. If the season ends when timewalking ends, there are 4 more weeks not including this week. So if you aren’t rank 6 this week, and you want rank 10 before the end of the season, each rank you are behind will be 6 hrs 40 minutes. Assuming each one takes you 5 minutes.

Yep. this late in the season you just have to spam randoms for progress and achievements.
This is why I tell people, if you are here playing, play the entire game even if you don’t like it, otherwise this happens and you end up so far behind you make forums complaints about how bad the content is, or how no one is doing XYZ and now you can’t either.
Also abuse the systems while you can, do multiple things at the same time, find group listings to get stuff done, do it while people are here in the zones, make your life easier.
My hot take is there never should have been a cap on prey progress to begin with, who cares if someone like me leveled 5 alts immediately and can smash out the entire thing in the first week? There isn’t even player power gated behind the prey journey and prey only rewards heroic loot to begin with, and only in the vault. Ain’t nobody serious about the game looking at prey past the first week and going “this is worth doing” for anything beyond cosmetics.

As a fan of prey i dont see a issue with a small buff to prey xp. I started this xpac as a solo player so delves and prey were life and delves are significantly easier to cap in it felt like.

I’m only going to juuuust make it to rank 10 as the season ends. I’ll squeak by. I kept “squirreling” and forgetting to do Prey, because I’d log on and people would be like, “Hey! Let’s go do this!” And I’d say, “Okay!” And then that was that. lol
Is the prey system going to reset seasonally, or is it just like any other rep grind?
