I mean, it’s not surprising you didn’t actually READ “The Shattering” considering you got Magatha’s name wrong, but just to make it absolutely clear:
The blow that nicked Cairne’s chest allowing the poison to kill him shattered his Runespear. “The Shattering” states that he was left with “a tooth” of the weapon. He didn’t even have reach anymore and was relying on landing a lucky jab.
The odds weren’t good for Cairne after that, even if it Gorehowl wasn’t lathered in poison.
This is actually preferable imo. I loved Garrosh, but there’s no way I’d want our current writing team even mentioning him. We all know they’d ruin him.
