As far as making up lore, you kind of are until you link actual evidence of what you are saying. The lore has to be in writing directly from the source, otherwise it’s just fanfiction.
Maybe learn the lore and stop jumping into conversations just to dogpile others and act just as bad as them, oh innocent one.
A story device used to create a break through for the main character in said scene to overcome something.
Those two are just manifestations. Both wielded those swords. Both meant a lot to him. His inner spirit/will/determination manifested in the form of Varian and Saurfang to help him break out of the domination magic.
