Hpal 25% behind, receives 4% buff

Don’t let dungeons being undertuned distract you from how bad our class is compared to all the other healers (specially the top 3 in Raid).

We need buffs/reworks to how we deliver our healing and to also fix the amount of dead talents we have.

Raiding Mythic now as Hpal is basically trolling your guild, and you can be a 99% parser, you will be beat by 50% discs who are slamming their head on keyboard

Yeah virtue is massively underrated and overlooked.

Well then you’re doing it wrong. Virtue lines up pretty perfectly with a lot of damage windows, and all you need is toll and your spender(s) of choice, or in dire situations wings and your instant holy light(s). And shock cost? Truth prevails? Shock is basically free, and why would you use judgment during your virtue window, use your spenders, use shock, toll, of course you’re not seeing anything with judgement.

Also that’s wrong. It’s massively buffed by your mastery. It’s far closer to 50% in most situations.

Holy shock is not free, unless you are using it at enemies. In high keys with constant damage you are spending more and more resources on healing, and less on dps/sotr and regenerating mana.

Nobody is using judgement on Virtue windows, but you are definitely using it outside of it to generate holy power all the time.

So it’s Faith to your beacon targets and basically with how beacon of the lightbringer works, you should be seeing that same 50% all the time too or near to it, not just during a window with healing falling off if you are far from your ranged dps outside of it.

One of the reasons why Virtue was seeing play last tier was because Pillars of Light used to be stronger, and that’s no longer the case.

Virtue its playable, but you can easily deal with burst damage with HL and Faith this tier without having to deal with the drawbacks of virtue.

This is worth repeating.

Imagine if dungeons had healing checks or Brewmasters weren’t OP and omnipresent or keys were make or break depending on big pulls with lust to time.

Hpal is being hard carried by healing just not being a major factor or bottleneck for keys; neither for tank healing or group healing. Routes are mostly just holding W and going 1 pack at a time with the least mechanics of any M+ season ever.

And Hpal is still lacking.

If 16’s or 20’s required more than 130k HPS on rot heavy group damage boss fights or if tanks required serious healing to keep alive, Hpal would be in Z tier or not even considered to be a healer. Because Rdruids and Rshams and Mistweavers can sustain 200k+ on Garfrost or Degen if those fights required it. Meanwhile, Hpal can’t sustain 100k without spamming garbage Holy Light.

So Hpal doesn’t look that bad when healing isn’t a big factor this season. But if it was, we would all see Hpal be 50% or more behind the real healers. What an absolute joke.

People are ‘grumpy’ with you because your ‘experience’ is that Hpal can heal a +9 at 218 ilvl. Which is absolutely rubbish.

I mean, if that’s what you understood from my virtue comment, as opposed to the intended “I did throwaway content, so take this with a grain of salt”, so be it?

What about the guy who responded to me with 2 essays talking about how FoL can’t do what I claimed, when I clearly said Holy Light? Is that too because I said I was 218 in a 9? Lol

Man these forums are exhausting sometimes…..

100%.

People somehow care about blizzard overtuning in 1 content for fairly tuning on the other.

There are people being paid to make balance work.

They can buff Hpal in Raid without making it the king of m+ (which we wouldn’t be even with a 20% aura buff).

So idk, sometimes people overvalue “how hard it is” to balance the specs and do a bad feedback to their own like: “oh, but hpal would be too good in x content if they buffed for y content”.

Unbelievable how bad some people make their own lives man

I think you are misrepresenting that just a tad, at least in reference to what I said about balance.

Its not that its “hard” or that people arnt paid to figure it out. When I say im worried that if they buff raid they might gut keys, its because they have literally done that before. TWW season 1 anybody?

Idk man, I’m pretty sure there are 99% of ways they can buff us in raid without affecting NEGATIVELY keys.

We are so undertuned RN, being hard carried by HL, that it is very hard for them to give us an actual buff in Raid that will be worse in M+

And I hope they do.

To be clear to this entire forum, when I say I hope they dont gut other aspects, that doesnt mean “omg I dont want them to fix it or buff it”. Im literally skittish with the crap they have done in the past, and simply voicing a concern. They literally did the EXACT thing im concerned about in TWW season 1.

Jeeeebus.

I don’t think we were ever this behind in the past too.

Tbh I don’t think any healer has been this bad in the past lol

Not in raid, no, but in keys, yes.

They broke Holy in TWW season 1 where the passive AoE was additive and insanely inflated our numbers in raid to the point where we were only slightly behind the completely broken Pres flameshaper. But what did that translate to? Every other aspect of our kit being gutted and repeatedly nerfed to the point where we were worse off in keys than we are right now.

Now, that doesnt mean im advocationg for Blizz not doing anything, or that there is no way to balance it, im just saying this crap has happened before, very recently lol

Clear?

I’m not continuing this, because you clearly are more afraid of blizzard actually doing a bad job than doing no job, so I can’t even disagree with you on that.

But ask for buffs, don’t worry about the side effects, I mean, they aren’t even reading this anyway, they probably won’t fix the spec until like season 3 or something. Tbh should probly just not play

Im done here too. I only made a passing comment once about “I fear they would gut performance in other aeras like they did a couple seasons ago”, and me having to repeat it over and over to you (and others) to keep clarifying what I meant, is getting blown out of proportion.
