At first I was dubious, but as I started leveling some new toons I find it useful.
Dang, that’s some impressive gains!
I got a full set of 480 gear for my main 4 characters, plus reagent bags for my Timerunners. I also got the mount and pets and I should have my main in full 502 gear in a few days. Then I will have close to 200000 residual memories left, so I will buy a bunch of gear and sell it for gold.
I got the BOA ring and stopped, i don’t really have any alts that need leveling and i don’t care about their gear so I’m just taking the opportunity to have a break from the game before the expansion drops.

I meant the pre patch event sets!
But some TWW sets are great, some not, as any expansion.

The event itself is boring, but it was nice taking three lvl60ish alts to 70 in only an hour and some change.

I’m on a major struggle bus to get that last Recruit Sturdy Wrap. Items just don’t seem to drop. Frankly I’m hitting the “I don’t want to do this anymore, please just let me buy it with my Residual”

Ive gotten 480 gear on the toon im planning of starting TWW and saving up some memories for my Remix starter for the Alliance side.
But overall… i get kinda bored and have caught myself dozing off during the umpteenth fight against Stitches and Hogger.
Not a fan of the “Go do this stuff” memories like the find pages or deliver coffee. i usually skip those in favor of some kind of mini boss battle.
Its basically a grind
I passively leveled everybody. 46 max level toons. Or 47 I forget.
It helps that a lot of the gear was just repeated models. Recruits sturdy wrap specifically is the same model as Argent Conscript’s Drape from the SL prepatch.
great so far, a stable of 70’s gearing them up now, got the mount working on the pets, love the new reworked event, blizz should take a note down, , this works great, and is fun and great catchup
Was able to get 1 of each class leveled and geared. Being able to change the gear to tier gear is nice. Most of them had been sitting at 50 since legion. Mounts and pets as well but just because on those. All in all not bad once they fixed it.
so go to the events where you actually do stuff, instead of beating on a massive HP sponge.

A little on the nap-ish side, but a grinders dream.
Talk about absolute worst amount of time spent to convert to gold. If you wanted gold, theres way more efficient use of time than essences.
I did not farm for the residual memories, they are a byproduct of farming the event for flightstones and crests to upgrade my gear to 502.
Got all my straggler toons to 70, but the event was pretty trash as a whole honestly. It’s been the least played out of every pre-patch event I’ve been around for.
Id rather not because you have no idea how close you are to completion if you are not actively watching the words on your screen. ll be killing like my 30th deviate fish then they suddenly disappear.
But did they really disappear or am i just not close enough to one to target it waaaay over there?
And the pages thing. OMG it took way too many kills to get that last page to drop.
Yes killing the same mini bosses gets tiring after a while and spicing it up with the other events can help but those other events have thier issues as well.
I’ve purchased everything from the vendor and geared up some of my older alts that I didn’t play much throughout SL and DF.
Have 3-4 more characters to level to 70 from my list and then will be up to 37-38 level 70s. Will level them up to gear up another character or 2 and hope for some more of the recruit armours and then I’ll call it quits.
Between Remix and PrePatch I have leveled far too many characters and now have no idea what to do with most of them.

if they all disappear, it’s because 100% have been caught
