I was watching youtube videos of the Night Elf warrior story and it seems interesting. I don’t look at it like its disrespectful to Night Elf lore.
However, people saying Elune is all powerful need to look back to Legion when she didn’t do anything to fight against the Legion. She didn’t help anyone on Azeroth as far as I know.
I think she is an overrated LOA, who was never as powerful as people think.
The Titans, Old Gods, Void Lords, and Naaru is where the power is at in my opinion.
I think people need to get over the story and realize not everything needs to be super powerful, its lame and I am glad Blizzard is making the story somewhat interesting.
I’ve never liked him; he’s been nothing but a voracious lap-dog for Burny McMurderWitch, snarling at the player character to “destroy all in the name of the Dark Lady” or other various means of toadying up to her. The fact that he’s the one leading all the campaigns and trying to impress her speaks volumes about her lack of actual leadership, and his slavering servitude to her will.
He’s also always been a condescending jerk, which means that he started off on the wrong foot before furthering lackluster strategic results with surprising gusto.
He could have been a more interesting character, in my opinion, if he wasn’t so fanatically devoted to a terrible leader and poor strategist.
Didn’t the Tear of Elune quest line basically say she is the one who created the Naaru?
I don’t think the problem with her not getting involved is because she is not powerful, but because we and Azeroth are insignificant enough to her that she doesn’t really care.
I like to think she just visited Azeroth a couple dozen millenia ago, had an affair with a stag god, let some primitives worship her and then left. And now she only gets involved when she’s bored.
I enjoy him exactly because he is so corny. Its like watching a more edgy ShortnameforRichard Dastardly going around shaking a fist at the sky with one hand and twirling his mustache with the other.
I’d enjoy him more if it felt like the game was in on the joke. Instead, he’s fighting Tyrande to a standstill, bossing around the Horde champion, easily obliterating any Proudmoore elites that go after him, etc. Dick Dastardly, Snidely Whiplash et al. don’t actually win, much less repeatedly, you know?
I agree, but we are also mid story right now and the villain has to gain ground before they can lose it. Their plans always get super close to fruition, then they fall.
Not a fan of him. It is this jarring experience having this nobody treat you like crap after what you been through. I mean this is blizz’s fault here they wrote us as the most important character for the last 2 expansions and then all of a sudden I got this guy in charge who has not done a damn thing treating me like a nobody.
First she spent all of Legion running away from her support troops, including Nathanos, only to have Greymane thwart her at the last moment. Then she did nothing until Azerite was revealed, at which point she convinced Saurfang to help lead the charge and drive the Alliance out of Kalimdor. She almost succeeded, too, until she flew off the handle and attempted genocide on the field of victory, uniting the entire Alliance and steeling their reserve to take the fight to the Horde, which was a really dumb move that Saurfang called her out on.
Then she failed to defend the Undercity, blighting her own troops in a vain attempt to drive off the Alliance. After that, she tried to spring a trap on Anduin by dropping rocks on his head after he had already survived all the blight throwers and siege weapons, failing again.
Then she sent an undermanned, underequipped, undersupported force directly into Stormwind to rescue Talanji, and that was only successful because of Zul’s trickery.
Then she sent us to Zandalar, under Nathanos’ snarling “leadership,” having him direct a war effort onto Kul Tiras even as C’thraxxi were rising and Old Gods were literally breaking out of seals around us. More losses.
Even if she killed a lot of civilians at Teldrassil, she still managed to turn a military victory into a mindless slaughter that did more harm than good overall. She couldn’t strategize her way out of a paper bag.
Not sure which BFA you are playing. LAdy Ashvane has the higher body count.
Ashvane also had better plans. Pirates to use weapons to usurp power. And they put up a nice fight too.
The horde trump card? Aww yeah…we have the Duke.
OMFG, the forsaken raised another war hero. they have never done this before what do we do?
Then an alliance joker says let him live, he may try to kill her. Like the 3 gilnean war heros did a while ago. Ofc back then she had more +1 power ups.
True she didn’t do anything at all, but Malfurion (one of the strongest if not THE strongest mortal on the planet) and Tyrande, the lady who held off hordes of demons are getting pushed back by one undead boy who was some ranger lord (big whoop) and newly risen elves (still trying to figure out how they got them to turn) .
I could maybe like Nathanos if the writers were consistent on how strong characters are in this game cause at this point we might as well just call this Dragonball Z.
