Let’s say, you get to make a new phase for an existing zone, where you get to decide what happens in different areas, what goes where etc.
I would pick Silverpine Forest and I’d do the following:
- Move Scourge and Feral Worgen into most of the empty or “safe” zones to make it more exciting
- Have the Forsaken fortify their holdings at the Rear Guard to prevent ground invasions by the Alliance or others, but pull them out of several other areas
- Make it a two-faction zone, with Pyrewood Village becoming an Alliance settlement, and Ambermill getting accepted back into the Kirin Tor as a neutral zone, with Forsaken wizards doing crazy experiments.
- Make the core plotline the power struggle in the Bloodfang Pack and the mysterious return of the Wolf Cult.
Let your imagination run wild, have fun with it!
Rebuild the Greymane Wall, expand Gilneas City proper, turn Keel Harbor into a proper port with functioning nautical transport, have the Hayward Brothers expand the spit of southern land that survived the Cataclysm into a dock-bound shantytown, so on.
If there need be any quests let them revolve around the evolving political situations of a Gilneas unshackled from its former isolationism; Dwarves in Emberstone causing a ruckus, Night Elves in The Blackwald grating against the staid folk of Stormglen with their strange but ultimately worthy Druidic rites, some strife in the Northgate Woods involving Ivar’s pack and perhaps integration into broader Gilnean society, skulduggery between Keel Harbor and the Hayward Brother’s dock city, the devout of the church forming into a proper Paladin Order and the travails thereof. Maybe have a quest that gets you a small barge to ride around the waterways, walk around on and fish from, I dunno.

I would revamp Tirisfall Glades.
- Humans and Worgen would occupy all Horde locations and Undead would now be awakened in SilverPine Forest
- Humans would re-occupy Lordaeron, and what we know as “UnderCity” would become a new Dungeon (like Gnomeregan) where you are clearing out the trash and removing Horde threats.
- Alliance forces would close in on the Scarlet Monastery and trap the Scarlet Crusade inside.
- Deathknell would be converted into a memorial ground for the fallen Prince Arthas, and Invincible’s grave would be moved from Balnir Farmstead next to his.
stretch it out a little in some spots, subtly, to make room for housing plots. Same with the mountain ranges. make room for housing plots. Let folks show their houses off.
