Well if the D3afication of WoW progresses I just assume they will reset the classic servers every 2 years and offer new $70 bundles.

I’m down for it. Even though I did like Cata since I pretty much was mature and understood WOW in Cata, it had flaws. I’m down to skip it but MoP is too fun to skip. They have to bring servers for MoP once again! And since there is a Classic+ happening, im hoping they go down a much different path then what we have now.
Classic+ is a neat idea but
- People may not want to have to do classic to access new content
- I’d like the classic devs to put their time into making more expansions and maybe a server in each patch available. If I could play in permanent 6.2 or permanent 8.3, I would be a very happy gnome!

No. If they open anywhere it should be on Retail. You wanted Classic, you get it. Stop asking for an alternate universe version of WoW in the form of Classic+. Threads like this, is exactly why I was against it from the start. Because there is no satisfying these people and when they don’t get what they want they’ll do what Nostralius threatened to do anyway.

You mean you never heard how Nostralius threatened to release the source code for WoW if Blizzard didn’t cave to them and create Classic Servers? That was one of the bigger stories like… a year or three back. IMHO a C&D was all they deserved.
Your entire argument has been predicated on what you say Blizzard WILL NOT do, yet history proves you wrong. That Classic even exists removes the entire basis for your argument. Just stop already.
Get your facts straight: Nostralius never had WoW source code. Nostralius was a cmangos coded WoW emulator. The source code they “threatened” to release was the cmangos core, which is not the core Blizzard created and uses. Two entirely different things altogether.
Also newsflash, the Nostralius core is still operating under a different name and team, it has been since a few weeks after they shut down their servers.
The idea that the new content you want added to wrath will be in demand by so many people it would be incredibly popular is just a total non-starter, given the plethora of requests over the years for custom servers (or of course, “just change the whole game to be like this thing I want”)
Seriously. Even the “pristine server” concept which has come up over and over again is one that everyone who wants it - or thought they wanted it - had their own unique checklists of “things this must have” and “things that absolutely would never be permitted”.
It’s really less “content I want added to wrath” and more a thought about the future of Classic based on what other game franchises have done with remastered “classic” content. This isn’t about what I want - Wrath isn’t even my favorite Classic expansion.
People need to chill out for a second. People can’t seem to handle talking about any of this rationally. Again, I don’t know why you guys are going nuts about this kind of thing. It’s actually not a big deal, like, at all. Other video games absolutely do this kind of thing already.

Someone’s mighty cranky. Point is, Nostralius still was operating a bootleg version of WoW and still was engaged in intimidation tactics to try and strong arm Blizzard into doing what they wanted.
They also did so under a threat of allowing what they had created; illegally to proliferate. You are trying to excuse behavior that was illegal over semantics. You should get ‘your’ facts straight.

EZ prediction: the WoW devs will throw a Hail Mary and pull the ripcord in 9.2 or 9.2.x.
Fresh Classic- showed up on the ptr (yes, that’s a minus sign). I loved vanilla and Classic but won’t bother with a fresh Classic or Classic-. Too soon, been there, done that. Leave that to the private server hamsters.
