How would you feel about zero restrictions transmog?

Still cloth though. You have advocated for zero restrictions which would be your warlock wearing judgement.

You know why…

ā€œThis boat already has a hole in it, so what difference does it make now that it’s sinking?
When we were back at port, I would have agreed with you that sinking the ship is bad.ā€

We can patch the boat and keep sailing instead of actively dumping more water in.

It would make for some really good looking female blood elf tanks… I mean, what they have now is something but let them use anything from any set and… :eyes:  :joy:

Who would even care about this?

I totally understand what you’re saying but protests in favor of protecting class identity fall on deaf ears. After awhile, you just get tired of arguing.

I really dont

Which is just sad? Right? :frowning:

can’t care about something that never existed in like a decade or more

If I could wear a black tuxedo transmog, I would totally do that. My only problem would be finding a shield to match.

Honestly I’d think it’d be pretty neat, but seeing how people are skiddish of it being a wild west like XIV’s glamour system is I’m almost glad for the restrictions here.

As long as we get Hide Pants I’m down with it.

And yet here I am, caring.

dude you got proven wrong get over it people have been using non tier pieces to look like class tier on other classes since tier was a thing. keep whining about something that never existed.

100% for it…though keeping class restrictions wouldnt upset me.
Dump the level requirement.
I have lowbies that Id like to be able to wear the new backpacks.
I earned the frikking things…let me USE them regardless of character level for geezus sake…StOP being control freaks.

Tbh it barely matters anymore considering how many armor types have sets that look like different ones

exactly
there are plate ā€˜robes’ that look more like cloth than some of the cloth mogs that look exactly like hard metal would.
just rid the game of the pointless restrictions and let us wear what we’ve earned.

This argument was invalid the moment Paladins/DKs/Warriors could all wear each others’ armor.
We now have a yeti onesie and a fairy outfit.

Sorry, but that doesn’t hold water any more.

P.S. Look at my Character Profile and tell me I look like a Priest wearing Cloth armor.

Class Identity is extremely subjective. A warrior to one person could be a typical fantasy knight, whereas to another it is more along the lines of Conan the barbarian.

But if the latter was your class identity, good luck with that given the current limitations, as Warriors cannot wear leather armor, but more standard ā€œbarbarianā€ characters in fantasy wear leather instead of plate.

Or what if you want to lean into a profession or gimmick that you like and make a fishing themed transmog? You have to get extra creative, figuring out how to make it look believable on mail and plate gear but with cloth and leather, you get a free pass.

ā€œClass identityā€ is not a metric of how game design should be done, I hoped everyone would have realized this in Legion, when Blizzard removed almost all player agency in gameplay and theming in exchange for what they though each class and spec ā€œshould beā€.

By opening up transmog limitations, you remove whatever anyone else says a class ā€œshould beā€ and allow for the players to decided that class identity for themselves.

I have no objections.

I’d start off letting plate mog mail. Mail mog leather. Leather and cloth transmog each other. I think that would open up a lot of looks. Those armor classes used to start out that way anyway.
