How will blizzard be reimbursing currency used on heirlooms?

OH noes Blizz is taking away the heirloom xp we got to get us from 60 -120 in SL.

Like we need it any more . Leveling has been squished and it has already been said leveling will be quicker.

People are acting like they are losing actual tangible items instead of pretend video game items.

Every one used FAKE gold to get heirlooms , used FAKE currency to upgrade them. At no time was REAL currency actually used.

When WoW goes into its sunset days are you going to request a refund for everything you’ve bought to be able to play the game? Cause eventually it’ll happen, nothing lasts forever, changes happen.

That…or DO remove it and replace it with a blanket reputation bonus for ALL factions

So if they left the text you’d be fine?

Levelling is getting an overhaul in Shadowlands. If they nerfed overall xp gain by 60% from what it is right now, but let you buff it back with heirlooms, that would be fine? As long as the text is there, right?

uh…unless you BOUGHT that fake gold with REAL $$$

Besides…its my TIME Im cercerned with…fake gold takes REAL life hours to earn.

The moment Blizz introduced the WoW Token, everything in game earned a real-life monetary value.

They said in the interview they are looking at a replacement. People seem to read the exp part is removed and just immediately rage about it.

No I’m not. That is entirely incidental. I’m coming out 55% behind.

Behind who? All six new players WoW has gained in the past three years that don’t yet have full heirlooms for any alt they want to make?

You think it’s incidental that leveling speed is being drastically sped up at the exact same time they remove the exp aspect of heirlooms?

They seem entirely tied together.

Certainly hope they plan on replacing it with something worthwhile. Like bulldozing through content.

Last I checked, in-game gold had a real world currency equivalency with the token. That’s a lot of money down the tubes… By my estimation based on today’s value, that is about $120.00. Hey, we all pay to play, some paid more depending on market swings. This whole conversation and topics like it aren’t going to go over very well.

No, no it isn’t. I’m just getting ready for the not fair arguments that were presented when people defended the removal of the water walking from water strider.

This is my main complaint.

The gold I spent on upgrading them so I can use the XP bonus. The main reason why anyone got them.

But since I’m not insane and know its going away I’d be honestly content with a Rep buff. Since that is where the bigger time sink is anyways.

I’ll have to level before I believe this, sorry. Playing Blizzard games for so long I don’t take their statements at face value. Also, So then you’re making the assumption that blizz will maintain this speed in leveling? Again I don’t share that assumption.

I see plenty of people with out it. But why does this matter? Why does it matter if I or anyone else wanted it to go faster than the baseline. It is the reason for them in the first place. To go faster than the baseline experience

That’s exactly what it’s about. Leveling used to take X time. Heirlooms made it, say, 0.9*X. Now it’s being reduced to something like 0.5*X and you’re angry that everyone is at that, rather than just you.

Behind where I would be with the bonus exp…? Duh?

Yes, I do.

I’m going by what I’ve seen from people playing the beta. Please, I don’t outright believe anything Blizzard claims.

It matters because heirlooms are the baseline experience at this point. What are you getting out of the xp buff that you’ll lose by it just being coded into the game that way?

If they nerf xp gains by 60% so you can keep the buff, would you be happy?

No, no I’m not. Don’t presume what I do or don’t like.

I’m upset that the item I got for the xp bonus is no longer going to have that bonus. I wouldn’t have gotten and spent time upgrading blue items.

Then you don’t understand what incidental means.

It’s being baked in and made an order of magnitude stronger.

What are people losing if they don’t have it? Heirlooms I mean.
