I also find it interesting how this thread is all about Illidan alone.
Does that mean we should be outraged over what Xe’ra did to Alleria because of the Void?

Yes we should. It’s also a defining aspect of how Xe’ra sees “mortals”.
The scarlet crusade wasn’t always 100% human. It did have a few non-human members in it during its early days, as seen by the statues where you fight Armsmaster Harlan in Scarlet halls (which were there in vanilla back in the old Scarlet Armory). For example,

Also the whole “you are either with us or have the plague / undead” started when Balnaazar took control of the organization after the assassination of Alexandros Mograine (which was engineered by Balnaazar and Kel’thuzad, as Alex was a common enemy).
Also when I was referencing the crusade I was referencing how the light doesn’t care for the morals of the people that used it lol, but yah there where at one point non humans.
Potentially from one NE questline where there’s a satyr that wants to be redeemed. That’d be my guess. They get cleansed or something, but are dead when that happens, I think? Spirit comes back as a NElf.
I mean, considering the rest of the OP, I can believe he/she would think some random satyr is comparable to one of the most capable night elven sorcerers of his day, who had been branded by Sargeras himself, then proceeding to consume the Fel energies inside the skull of the most power orc warlock who ever lived…
