For what? You claim I’m being hostile… but how? Seriously? You trolling me or something? You claim I’m being condescending but there is nothing even close to that in my response to you. What are you even talking about?
Im actually pretty liberal when i put my groups together. As long as they have close to my IO or higher right now. But I cant discount someone doing much more dps based on covenant choice.
Also, I dont pug all my keys but I only have like 7-8 friends that like to do high level content. They are not on all the time and what i like to do is run dungeons.
Hes obviously touchy, feel free to look at our exchange. I dont think i was trying to be an elitist at all but he seems to think i was because I threw out some bona fides.
Mate, I’m not disagreeing that it happens, I’m saying that the only reason people will get gatekept from content based upon Covenant choice is because of people who think it matters. You also can’t exactly be blocked out of group-finder content in the same way either. There isn’t someone deciding if you get in or not, it’s random.
My posts haven’t been targeting people making groups either. It’s at the decision of the group maker who gets in or not. My argument was that if denying someone based upon Covenant choice becomes an issue, it will be because of the people SAYING it will be a problem because they made it one.
I didn’t see any of what you were saying, but elitism exists in everyone at different levels to a varying extent, but if you can’t handle someone disagreeing with you then a public forum may not be the best place to express an opinion if you can’t handle the comments it may bring.
For me I don’t have a problem booting people mid pull if their rio or other indicators are false, i’d rather waste my time afking in town than carry some lfr noob that got carried, they definitely don’t deserve it and unless I’m getting paid I’m not sticking around or just replacing them.
Are you done avoiding my comments by accusing me of being hostile and condescending? Anyone else you want to accuse here as well? Anything else you want to make up?
Must be nice to run away from civil discussions by simply claiming someone is being hostile.
You haven’t been following me often if you think I can’t handle opposing opinions. Though I really don’t have to explain myself to anyone.
And it sounds like personally to me you’re a glutton for punishment. If you’re willing to make others have their time wasted because you spotted a carry or a player is making simple mistakes that’s on you.
People can min/max all combinations of classes in WoW and still get AOTC or Keymaster (+15), which is the best way to enjoy the content.
The problem starts appearing when competitive people start putting the competition ahead of the group; people who look at the +16 strats for keys and are convinced that its something that needs to be followed for their +10, kind of thing.
If people knew that pure optimization for your class isn’t required for 80% of the game, that kind of gatekeeping would shrink.
I don’t waste time that’s the thing, I have strict standards that include raiderio/wowprog/logs/ilvl, heck even the way someone speaks is a good indicator if they’re a carry. The problem with wow rn is that even a casual player can get a 475 ilvl and a 2k io, you’d to be easier to notice a bad player you just have to adapt to our new environment.
As far as what was said that’s all I need to know as far as how you handle things, it’s basically how protestors act when avoiding steven crowder/jordan peterson/ben shapiro and those like them, emotion>logic.
I agree, a lot of players over reach, think they should be doing 15+ keys when they should be starting from the bottom until they find where they should be at 10 or lower. Min maxing happens in most multiplayer games, if you can’t adapt you die and that’s fine with me as far as I’m concerned.
