Am i crazy or did pets used to show up in the regular party frame in vanilla? How do i make it show them again? Also, how do i get rid of the text on items that say ‘the following stat changes will occur’? It’s just annoying and not vanilla
Options > interface > Scroll to “Raid Frames” > click “Display pets”.
Try that.

It only works on the raid style party frames, i want the mini pet frame on the default party frame
this is still an issue. cant get pets to show up
There is an addon you can use called Party Pet Frames. I am not sure which version of WoW this is designed for, but I can confirm it works for me in WoW SoD, and WoW Classic.
If you use vuhdo you can enable / disable pets.
But that may be a bit heavy handed if you don’t want whole new raid frames.
You don’t actually need to use an addon for this. The toggle just ended up being buried in the code, and everyone ended up ignoring that it was an oversight for the last 6 years 
Just add this command in the console when you’re out of combat:
/script SetCVar(“showPartyPets”, 1)
Then reload. And voila! The same old pet display functionality that we had back in actual Vanilla for the default party frames.
Its a great way to pad those healing meters
